The Renault Twizy, rebadged as a Nissan. Battery-powered electric 2-seater "city" car. Reviews say they are quite fun to drive, zipping around town.

Not sure if gokarts are street legal? The Twizy is quite popular in Europe. Wondering if it has a chance here in the states.

I would probably drive one in the city, but I'm not sure about on the highway.

Edited because i see now in your op you said it's a "city car". This doesn't seem much different than a Mercedes smart car to me.

does it have an optional "sport package" that would allow you to put your golf clubs on the back?

Good question.

Don't know if the strapped rack this guy uses is home-made or if they are sold separate.

I searched "Renault Twizy external rack" and found lots of interesting pictures.

Researched a bit and discover the Twizy charges in about a third of the time and cost about 30% less, than the comparable Smart branded electric cars.
Granted, the Smart electric cars do have a few more features.

I'd give it a try in the city but I wouldn't take it out on the highway. And it doesn't look like something I would drive in the winter time

I don’t trust other drivers enough to get in one of those. Get hit by a pickup in that thing and you’re done.

About a minute in. Twizy does OK for head-on impact because of its airbag. If you're T-boned by something much larger, see ya.....

Get hit by a kid on a bike and you're done. I'll stick with my F150.

Only if I lived in a a densely populated urban setting. For getting around Manhattan, this thing would be nice. I would never take it on the freeway or any other higher speed secondary roads.

Since I don't live in a large metropolitan area, I don't think that thing would have much use for me, as it seems like more a city vehicle than a rural/highway deal.
