I'm getting a new phone on Sunday and I'm not sure what to get. I REALLY need to be able to do email on it and weather would be nice too.

I'm considering a blackberry but not really sure I want to pay $80+ a month.

Anybody have any suggestions? What you like or don't like?

Droid by Motorola.

But you're going to have to pay the extra money for the data.

You're probably going to have to pay $80 a month if you want email (data) and voice. I don't think there's too many ways around it.

The enV Touch - with a full QWERTY keypad - has a cheaper, unlimited data plan than Verizon offers for Blackberry - $15 versus $29.99.

I have the enV Touch and use it daily to check my email and a few sites on the Internet via its full HTML browser.

The best starter Verizon plan is $40 (plus taxes that jack it up closer to $50). There are cheaper plans, but that gets you unlimited nights and weekends plus verizon-to-verizon, and free long distance.

Then, for $30 you can get the data plan. Since you need email/data, scrape up the extra $15 and get the DROID
