Can't recall being this disappointed in a Cleveland team in awhile. 1995 was an offensive juggernaut but this team was the most complete team I ever recall them having and then to not show up in the ALDS?

Dagger to the heart.

I don't know that I'll watch another game of these playoffs. This one hurts.

Reminds me of Golden State/Dallas in 2007. Mavs were a juggernaut all season winning 67 games, and yet get trounced in 6 by a Warriors team that had Baron Davis and post-melee Stephen Jackson.

NY is a good team, but this should not have even been a competitive series. 102 wins and this is how they play in the playoffs?

Seems like an incredibly irrelevant and non-applicable comparison.

The thing that really sucks is, what to do for the next month? Was kind of banking on them to be my sports entertainment. I have no interest in October NBA and the Browns are unwatchable. Ugh

And on another note, I friggin' KNEW it.....from the postgame pressers, it sounds like Tito sent Kluber out there twice with a bad back. Knew something was "off" with him.

I’m surprised it wasn’t a Detroit reference.

Unfortunately, as good as Kluber is, and fairly or not, he'll be remembered as a guy who was great during the season, but struggled mightily during the post season...and other than Bauer's performance in Game 1 and Lindor's slam in Game 2, there were no other notables to speak of. After the way we ended the regular season, that's just sad.

pretty much says it all...

The top of the order — Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis, and Jose Ramirez — had averages of .111, .182, and .100, respectively. High-priced slugger Edwin Encarnacion, signed in the offseason to replace Mike Napoli, struck out three times and did not have a hit in seven at-bats during the series.

That is the worst. Watching the rest of the postseason is going to be horrible...knowing it should have been us playing. The media pumping up the Yankees. Have to avoid sports talk radio for a couple of days, at least. This loss is very inconvenient for me.

Waking up this morning and still feel like shit. So invested for 3 straight seasons. Will be interested to see what they do this offseason, but I assume they will be best in Central again.

I can't go through watching 150+ games again, just to be let down. This feels like the Cavs for me, where I'll watch when I can, but waiting until the playoffs to really get invested.

I'm in a funk. So disappointed. The game ended and my wife turned to me and just said, "I'm sorry."

I said, "It's sports. This is what happens. This is why we went to the World Series last year. This is why I went to Game 7. Because no matter how good you are and you think, 'they'll be back next year', there are no guarantees."

So yes, they should be best in the division again next year. But injuries happen. This window should be open for a little bit. Pieces may change but Kluber, Bauer and Cookie are all signed through 2020 at least. I think we have club option on Kluber for 21. Salazar is signed through that time too. Is he a starter for us long term? He has the stuff to be a great closer.

Frankie through 22.
Ramirez through 22.
Team option on EE thru 20 (but he's 34...might be garbage by then)
Kipnis through 20- can he stay healthy for us?

So we have a core. We have one more year of Miller. I doubt we resign him after that.

Santana is FA and going to be 32 in April.
Bruce is a FA.
We have an 11M option on Brantley.

Will be an interesting offseason for sure.

Hit the nail on the head 100%. They started off the season slow(er), got super hot and then revert back to how they were playing early in the year, when they hit the playoffs? I really don't know if "disappointed" is strong enough of a word. The playoffs seemed to have ended as fast as they began.
