I lol'd hard when reading the statement his lawyer sent out.

"These allegations come as a complete shock to me," Pitino said in a prepared statement. "If true, I agree with the U.S. Attorney's Office that these third-party schemes, initiated by a few bad actors, operated to commit a fraud on the impacted universities and their basketball programs, including the University of Louisville. Our fans and supporters deserve better and I am committed to taking whatever steps are needed to ensure those responsible are held accountable."

Also, the statement from the U of L President gave a good laugh as well. Any violations will not be tolerated, but yet Pitino is still there after the whole scandal that already happened.

Pitino just had about a 5 min meeting with the interim president at Louisville. Which was shortly after thy fired their AD.

And the Sporting News has reported that Pitino expects to be fired.

Good. Fuck Pitino. One of the least likable (likeable?) coaches in sports.

Could not agree more.

A Kentucky sportscaster is reporting that the AD was asked to fire Pitino, he said no, so they both are gone.

All you need to hear is the word "scandal" pertaining to NCAA basketball and Pitino is the first name that comes to mind. Wonder who will replace him in that capacity now that he's gone, assuming he can't wiggle and weasel his way out of this one somehow.

I know everyone has been saying Petino and Louisville, but I've been reading Calipari and Kentucky. I'm really curious to see how far this goes and how this might blow up the NCAA.

Also, several ex OSU basketball players have been on twitter talking about how Matta ran a clean program. You would think they would know, but I'm definitely holding my breath waiting for this to work itself out. I'm sure everyone hopes their program is clean.

If tOSU has been cheating, they've really sucked at it.

Now documents and hard drives from Nike EYBL have been subpoenaed. This shit is great. Fuck any school/coach who has been cheating. Not sure this will clean everything, but FBI and possible jail time will certainly make programs think a LOT harder than they do now.
