To be fair, they'd probably pull Himmler Van Hitler too.

To be fair, there is speculation that it's a hoax. If so, they got me.

Well, then, to be fair to you, it is believable.

It's not a hoax.

I feel ESPN was just trying to look out for a young, new broadcaster...but yeah, it seems to have backfired.

It appears to be true.

An Asian named Robert Lee?

Go home, ESPN. You're drunk.

ESPN was already rattled from the reaction to their fantasy player auction last week, so I am not surprised by this knee jerk decision.

Well, I wouldn't want to stay on Shaun King's bad side either. /sarc

This is one of the dumber things I have ever heard. I kept waiting for it to come out as a hoax last night, but it never came. smh

It's better for the announcer's career. He would have turned into a viral meme and it could have hurt his career.

Picture of Robert Lee (he's Asian).
"Robert E. Lee taking extreme measures to sneak into Charlottesville"

ESPN over reacts but the overreaction to the overreaction is ridiculous.

lol if anything I think the meme helps out his career. Has anybody (not named laley) legitmately heard of this guy before?

Wow. I like that. So ESPN is totally racist. They are trying to hold this Asian broadcaster down by not letting him become a viral sensation poking fun at his name. And they are doing it under the guise of not being racist and wanting to offend anybody. Brilliant.
