Currently own a Siberian Husky. Great dog and love him to death but his shedding is intense. The next will be a Dogo Argentino

We've had a Min-Pin for nine years, he's 12 now. He's not in constant motion like he used to be, but he still punches the gas pedal when he wants go any distance over five feet.
The wife and I have been talking about what we'll get to replace him. We had a black pug for seven years, just the perfect temperament and loved nothing better than to lay down at our feet.
I'm toying with the idea of an all-black German Shepherd. One lived behind me at my first house, most beautiful dog I've ever seen. Intimidating to look at, if you didn't know him. Always gave me a low "woof" when he wanted me to come over and pet him. The health issues of the breed are something I'd have to think about.

Golden doodle that was the runt (so smaller, only 45 pounds). First dog my wife and I got together. Love that it doesn't shed.

2 miniature schnauzers, would love a big dog like a lab but can't stand shedding hair.
Schnauzers are so good with kids and don't shed. So future would probably be another schnauzer.

He is a little corgi, dachshund, german shepherd and beagle....a damn good dog. A touch nervous at times but a great dog.
Next dog will likely be a collie

Current:
1/2 Bichon 1/2 Shih Tzu. He is a straight G, but was my wife's dog first. I love the little man, but am still a big dog lover at heart.
Future:
Back to a pure bred Golden.

Two boxer mixes, one with shar-pei and one with hound. The first is very funny looking. Both are great and will be good family dogs.

Past 44 years : (that how long the wife an I been married) 6 Goldens
Current : one 14 year old Golden almost lost him last week, but he made it and is about as good as can be expected. Poor guy can't hear, poor vision, hard to walk and sleeps most of the time. We also have a two year old Golden doodle.... Loving and crazy guy.
Future: not sure. The shedding of the golden is a issue but a dog Dyson handle that issue, our golden doodle with no shedding is great but the every 4 week $90.00 buck grooming is a problem. Wife and I not sure we want another pet at our age and downsizing in the future.

12 year old male schnauzer. Also a 8 month old Australian Shepard that chews up everything but may be the smartest dog I have seen. Very easy to train

Ours was supposed to be a purebred Chihuahua but we got sold a bill of goods. I think he's part Jack Russell but know he's 100% asshole.

Shih Tzu from the pound. Funny little guy. Very loyal, really well behaved. Friendly as can be. He's our second of this breed. They have a great disposition and they don't shed.

We have a 10 year old mini schnauzer, a 9 year old schnoodle, and an 8 year old mini schnauzer.
Our next dog will come from a rescue. We will probably get another schnauzer, though I wouldn't mind a larger dog. We will definitely not have 3 dogs at the same time again.

No dog. Probably won't have one in the foreseeable future, they just do not fit our lifestyle. It'd cost too much sending them elsewhere than what we want to spend and it's not worth it.
If I had a dog, it'd be a husky or a basset hound.

Currently: 2 rescue dogs. 1 we believe is a Chihuahua/Weenier Dog mix who is 7-9 years old the other we got told was all black lab but pretty sure its a lab/pit mix and she is almost 4 years old. The Lab/Pit is the friendliest dog I've ever been around and she never barks which is awesome.
Future: I'd like to get a Husky but the wife thinks its too hot here. Probably will be another rescue.

Currently: 2 year old Mal-Shi (Maltese and Shih Tzu). She is very good.
Future: That is hopefully many years away, but don't really see me getting another one. By then I will want to come and go as I please.

<<< Cletus, the best dog ever. Also a JRT/Rat Terrier mix. He's an amazing dog and I'd love one just like him, but it will be whatever small dog that needs us from the pound.

Finally have had a* Chesapeake Bay Retriever for several years. High energy dog that's very protective and very social with me and my wife. He misses our kids. He scouts their rooms each morning.
Don't know what the future dog will be but the current dog has so much personality I will struggle getting some other breed right now. I just need to keep him out of the lake so much. When I'm outside he doesn't leave my side which I hate and yet love.
