You are given $50,000---not allowed to be used for debt and must be spent in less than 30 days.

What are you buying?

Me:

New Honda Accord $26000
Storage Building $3000
Pool Table/Ping Pong top $1000
Chain Saw $250
Utility trailer $1000
Used Lexus Rx 350 about 2012 $18750

Both mine and my wife's cars are about 2 years from being done.

Pay off all oustanding debt which is about $17000, drop about $2500 on the kids an early Christmas then look to invest it by buying some land to resell later

Reading is hard.

I would travel and use some for a down payment on another house.

I'd buy (or pay off most of) a parcel of land (5-10 acres).

Ripping out the shitty deck that the previous owners put in and didn't properly maintain and replacing with a decorative, stamped concrete patio.

I've been throwing around various ideas for my basement remodel. I'd spend a good chunk down there but it's already finished so it doesn't need too much.

I'm not sure how much all that would cost but I'd still have a good amount left. Probably book a couple vacations for next year, buy a new driver and golf bag. Maybe replace some carpeting in my upstairs.

So all I need know is the 50k and I can get started.

Down payment is a method of mortgage debt reduction, using this money as a down payment is like using it to payoff your mortgage. Down payment automatically acquire home equity which is a aspect of paying off the mortgage. ........Just saying, its all on how you look at something make a difference

I'd pay off all my debt with $50,000. I don't have $50k in debt, so I'd go out and put whatever amount I have left after paying off all of my debt on my credit card so I have more debt and can pay off that debt.

So in conclusion, I would spend $50,000 paying off all of my debt.
