I travel a little this weekend and was able to admire the beauty and splendor of this great nation.
The spirt, pride and adventurous of the American people is an amazing and wonderful legacy we have.
Let's remember that freedom and liberty is what our forefathers gave to the people of this great country, it's the people of America that is entrusted with those rights.

America my country...and proud of it...

We've had a great Independence Day weekend. I've had time to get several lingering house projects finished. We had a cookout with friends, our first gathering at the new house. We took a 6 mile canoe trip yesterday with our oldest dog, two friends, and their 4 year old son. Today we've got a bbq with the in-laws.

Went for a waddle today, cut the grass and trimmed some trees. Shower, shave and started drinking beer about 20 minutes before cookout. Charcoal, of course.

Lake Cumberland, every year. Not bad. Thankful the storms (which were basically non-existent) kept the issues down.

The new trend I saw this year by the radicals on twitter was for them to talk about how July 4th isn't "their Independence Day" since slaves weren't free.
