Very recent, few details yet. Appears some number of persons parachuted out.

Parachuted out!?!? Damn.
Note to self: blimp travel probably not safe.

My buddy is working that event. Texted me when it happened..."sooo, uh, blimp just crashed. Now smoke on horizon. Not something I thought I'd ever type in 2017".
I guess it was a sponsor blimp, not the network blimp. Pilot is apparently only injury, as everyone else was able to parachute out unharmed.

ESPN.com learned that blimp crew chief Matt Schmidt saved pilot Trevor Thompson's life by pulling him away from the burning wreckage before two gas tanks exploded. Schmidt told ESPN.com that Thompson suffered burns on his back and the back of his neck and head. The pilot was wearing a fire-resistant suit. Thompson didn't know why the blimp suddenly lost pressure & plunged from the sky.
