So I wonder if teams are offering trash for now. The Cavs need multiple players who will keep them competitive in the finals this year but also something to build on after 2018.
Also, don't they particularly need a point guard out of this? Wasn't backup guard to Irving a need last year?
This is the issue. The Cavs need two, ready to play, stud players in this haul and one should be a PG. I can't see this happening. Had heard a proposed three way between the Knicks, Suns & Cavs where the Cavs got Melo & Bledsoe but no idea how that would work.
As mentioned, Porzingis isn't going anywhere. NYK's whole reasoning for wanting KI is to pair him with Porzingis. Plus it's sounding like Melo is locked in on Houston.
I just don't see how the Cavs are even going to get 90 cents on the dollar if they move KI. Couple that with the fact that it sounds like the NYK's are his choice so teams may back off AND the fact that KI's already given the impression he just wants to be a Russell Westbrook (chuck shots, win MVP's & don't give a shit about championships) is going to send up some major red flags to teams looking to win.
