I'm curious to see if he is the Republican candidate in the next election. They're pretty much locked into this dumpster fire, right?

What if Joe Biden had run in 2016 and gotten the nomination? I could see him getting the win by swaying enough Republicans, who would be saying, "Oh well - he's been around the block for a while, knows how to work both sides of the aisle - he probably won't do as much damage as the last guy."
Extrapolating to Trump, I could see the Donald choosing not to run in 2020 - he's already thumbed his nose at the pundits by getting elected and doesn't have anything else to prove politically. Mike Pence runs for prez, gets the nomination, and Republicans would feel better with a more "traditional" candidate to vote for.
Shoot, Pence might even pull enough crossover votes to make a difference. Democrat voters are notorious for going with the candidate based solely on how good they look in a suit and on TV, as opposed to their actual experience - and we'd have Race Bannon!

Joe Biden easily wins the nomination and easily defeats Trump imo.Zunardo;1857056 wrote:What if Joe Biden had run in 2016 and gotten the nomination? I voted four years and I hope he drops out after four to let the republicans have any chance of winning in 2020.

Depends on your assumptions for <2 or >2. If you assume the GOP will continue to chose party over country, then >2 years until Dems take the House in 2018. If you assume the GOP wants to be Americans first, then Trump will be gone before 2017 ends.
I'm still rooting for the GOP to grow a spine and remove him from office.

Will depend on the length of the investigation and subsequent trial.

For what, exposing the media for being biased, liberal hypocrites? Exposing BIG government for its vast intrusions and interference with business and freedom-loving individuals, and its spying and lying? Exposing the disaster that is obamaKare? Freeing job-creators from ruinous regulations and onerous taxation? Reexamining horrible trade policies? Asking our allies to 'pay their fair share' to defend freedom? Disrupting Washington D.C.?
Get in the game.

I voted for one term. He'll have proved his point and will go down in the history books as somebody other than a businessman. Then ride off into the sunset. Maybe.

Even batshit crazy Nancy Pelosi has said there's nothing impeachable - don't be dumber than her.

The evidence is classified. They are building a case against Trump and his associates with Mueller and these take time. Watergate took about 2 years from occurrence to resignation. These things take time and they are not public.gut;1857161 wrote:According to who? Where's the evidence?
But continue to believe there is nothing there. Continue to ignore the smoke and pretend it's all a witch hunt while simultaneously defending the Benghazi and buttery males investigation as being REAL.
You're a partisan hack. Get good.

Oh, that's convenient. Put another way, you got nothing.sleeper;1857162 wrote:The evidence is classified.
Washington is leaking like a sieve, yet somehow not a single bit of evidence against Trump has leaked. All the leading Dems are walking back impeachment talk.
But Sleeper knows they have super secret classified evidence that apparently no one has seen - not anyone on the Intelligence committees, not current or former NSA/FBI directors.....but believe Sleeper, the evidence is there.

One term only. No way he gets reelected unless the dems put up a real turd of a candidate, and then it would only be "maybe".

Well, either there's something to actually impeach Trump with....or Dems and their propaganda media arm are going to have handed a supermajority to the Repubs.Dr Winston O'Boogie;1857172 wrote:One term only. I don't think Trump will run for a second term. But if we have a recession in the next 4 years (extremely likely), you can virtually guarantee a Dem takes the WH. If we somehow avoid a recession, the Dems will be unlikely to take the WH.
