I love the idea of a hard contact sport like football, hockey and basketball but Tennis has that one on one contest speed, strength, power and strategy without that career ending and long term body injuries after retiring. I played Tennis for years at a locally high level. I can’t make money pistol shooting…

I’m going with Tennis

Baseball, both for the fully guaranteed contract and the simple fact that superstars get these obscene 10 yr, 300 million style contracts even if they're at an age you can only really count on getting 2-3 years of top-quality production from them. Worst case scenario: I turn into the next Ryan Howard, making crazy bank to bat .190.

Baseball or Basketball are the best answers. I feel with basketball there is more opportunity with endorsements so I would go with that

I will continue the theme and say Baseball... it was the first sport I started playing and grew up loving. Plus the guaranteed contracts and really its not that physically taxing on the body.

I would have said track/marathon running but the money isn't really up there and the only superstars (If you even want to call them that) are sprinters.

I'm assuming if I was a "superstar" that means I'm already among the most talented in the sport. Basketball and golf are the two sports I enjoy playing the most, so I'd pick one of those. Baseball would be third.

This is so easy. It is Golf first. Baseball second. Nothing would come close enough in third. Longevity and injury.

Bernhard Langer, 59, ranked in $3M in earnings last year, $36M over his career. Will be in Augusta every April until he dies.

David Ortiz, 41, made $41 last year, $160M over his career. Is sitting by a beach right now with slight aches and pains.

Lebron James, 32ish, >$1 billion at career end with endorsements, minimal injuries and a lifetime of doing whatever he wants when he wants.

Fortunate for him. At some point some amount of wealth becomes a diminishing return and risk of health becomes more important.

Injury and cash flow stops though

I guess superstar assumes top 5 so no money issues

Baseball for me, game I most like to play, and watch. Strategy decisions before the pitch and decision making after bat contact are most interesting to me. Game time to practice time ratio has to be higher than any other sport, so more time competing.

I thought about this as well. Assuming you are at a top club, and playing for your national team, those guys have pretty brutal schedules.

Baseball for me due to the reasons already stated.
