A-
- They got the best, most NFL ready player in the draft.
- They added draft picks, including a 1st rounder next year.
- They drafted Peppers who will be fine as a safety in the NFL - bit of a reach but it filled a hole
- They drafted the best receiving Tight End in the draft in a loooooong time.
They can move up and take Kizer or Webb if they need to in Round 2, because they have the picks to do it.
This was a great first round by the Browns.

I'd give them an overall B mostly because I wanted Hooker and he was on the board at #12. Happy with both Njoku and Garrett; Peppers could be good because I think he has athleticism and good ball instincts to make up for his lack of size and lack of hands. If they didn't draft Peppers and picked Njoku at that slot instead, I would have given them an A. If they didn't trade back and drafted Hooker at #12, I'd give them an A+.

I had them around the B+/A- range with my initial thoughts last night. I wanted Hooker, so i wasn't thrilled we dropped. After sleeping on it, I think peppers was a good value pick at 25 and I think Njoku is the best TE in the draft. Overall we picked 3 guys who can make plays imo, and that's something the Browns barely have. Sprinkle in the 1st round pick we have next year and I have it an A-. Definitely a lot better than past first rounds for the Browns.

I think that after I see what the Brown do in the second round and who the Steeler pick in the second round will be important in the final grade of the Browns overall grade score. IMO I think the Browns took two of the Steelers top second round picks out from under the Steelers. If that the case then overall I would agree with a B+ or A

So if the Steelers make a bad pick, the Browns draft grade goes up?Belly35;1850699 wrote:I think that after I see what the Brown do in the second round and who the Steeler pick in the second round will be important in the final grade of the Browns overall grade score. picking players for on the field preformance is one aspect of the draft, but an underlying aspect is also the taking of player from your opponents draft agenda. (The Bears)
Preventing other teams within your league to fill position is a chest match of strategy to be considered. I think the Browns achieved this in someway with their first round picks. Causing the Steeler to alter their picks. Now the Bengals on the other hand was not effected with the Browns picks.
Browns grade goes up to B+ Browns have their QB Kizer in 2015 his numbers was better than 2016 but this kid is as good as the 2017 first round QBs picks given tools skill player round him and protection. He will challenge the Browns present QB chart. Grade A pick in round 2.
