Seriously?

I know Oregon State isn't any good, but the Pac-10 is bad and some people picked them to surprise.

Seattle College is an independent school, came into the game 6-9 and losers of 7 of 9. Those losses were to Wofford, Cal-Poly, Eastern Washington, Oakland, Denver, Loyola Marymount and Harvard.

Seriously?

A 51-point loss? At home? Outscored 58-21 in the 2nd half.

The first series of conference games are complete and a few things are obvious.

First, Oregon State isn’t bad. If anything the team is rather impressive, but the players need to finish those close games properly.

Solid analysis Anthony.

Watch Oregon State beat UCLA in double-overtime at Pauley Pavillion to knock them out of first place. The PAC 10 is known for it. (OK, this might be more of a stretch than is humanly possible to expect, but if it does happen, you heard it here first.)

Oregon State's basketball coach is Craig Robinson. His sister is Michelle Obama. Since he is the First-Brother-In-Law I doubt he loses his job anytime soon.

Funnily enough, in a "Passing the Torch" feature looking into who will replace Coach K once he retires, this year's Maple Street Press Blue Devil Tip-Off listed Craig Robinson as someone who is "ready for the next level" and someone Duke needs to look out for.

Yeah, right.

Change we can be assured to suck just as much as 'Bama.

Go figure. Seattle lost today by 13 points to 6-10 Sacramento State.

Sports Illustrated just did a piece on Seattle's center, who emerged from the morass of jucos, and is likely a late-1st-round draft choice.

Still...51 points at home??? To Seattle College???

I read that same piece. Interestingly enough, Seattle College is coached by none other than Cameron Dollar, the former UCLA star who helped the Bruins to the 1995 NCAA title and a win over Iowa State in the '97 Tournament on a last second drive (aka Tuyus Twice).
