I got a Netflix account a few years back and started binge watching television shows. I've found that by watching an entire season of a tv show in a couple of weeks, I have a hard time remembering some elements of the show when the following season airs around year later. Anybody else have this problem or am I just getting old?

I'm not that old, and I have the same problem with the shows I watch normally on a weekly basis. I blame the fact more and more shows seem to be just 10-12 episodes in a season, and can go well over a year between seasons. I think the condensed seasons also take out the "filler" shows we used to get that would refresh our memories and bring us back up to speed.

Although there may also be something to what Spock said. A really engrossing show makes you think about it in the hours and days before the next show, so that probably tends to reinforce and cement a deeper recollection of what happened.
