What do you and your wife/special person share doing together and are those other events that just don't sit very good?
My wife is not very outdoor type person. ...more sophisticated
We love shooting guns but she not going camping, metal detecting, or sit in the rain at any sporting event.
She will sit on the beach but hell no to hiking in the woods
i love going to Broadway Muscials, concerts with my wife but hell no to stage theater
Fine dining is never a issue for my wife and I but she a no for Thai, BbQ and for her to visit a greased soup, corner bar is a challenge.
We both enjoy art, history, antique venues but she not going to visit a gun show, hot rod event or diesel mudding.
what are the events you share and not share with each other?

It's almost:
Me-anything
Her-nothing
It's not really that bad but the things I do without her are going to car shows, high school sports with a couple friends, golf, fishing, eating out....about the only thing she wants to do together is walk. Now if the grandkids are involved-she will do anything! Even went bowling last Sunday.

Yep! the grandkids do seem to have control if they want to do something with nana.... three weeks ago I too the grandkids to a SlotCar Track they love it. So the following week it was one of my grandson birthday .. so we had a Slot Car Party. My wife was not excited to go but once she got there and we start racing, GAME ON note: wife is very competitive ... joke in the family is you dont play Yard Darts with Nana...Wally;1841427 wrote:It's almost:

When I say I don't care what we do/watch/eat, I actually don't care. When she says the same thing, she'll complain if she doesn't enjoy it. That's really my only complaint about any of my wife's habits.

I love camping but my wife has no desire. Luckily she loves to canoe and or hike, so as long as it is a day trip she's good to go. I have got her into shooting in the last few years and she likes to go to the range. She's actually a really good shot, too, which is cool. She's big into musicals and I used to refuse to go. I went to Young Frankenstein a few years ago and enjoyed it. We are now considering season tickets to our local theater so we're guaranteed the opportunity to buy tickets to Hamilton when it comes to Cincinnati in 2018.

My husband does not like concerts, so I go to four or five a year and he stays home. He also doesn't care for movie theaters, whereas I go about once a month or more.
We both like to fish, but I'd say he goes alone about half the time. We both like camping, but we don't go very often. We both love baseball and have season tickets to the Indians; we go together more often than not. He is not a Browns fan, but he does like tailgating with me.
I just went on a cruise with six friends, but he didn't want to go, so he didn't.

My wife is boring and doesn't like to do much. I'm the exact opposite... I like to be out doing things.
She will bitch about sitting at home, and then when we're out, all she'll talk about is wanting to be home. It's really not a whole lot of fun.

like Justin, I'm much more into camping/hiking/biking than my partner. I can get her to go hiking ~once a month or so, but not as frequent or as long as I'd like. Thus I try and schedule longer hikes with a friend or just do it solo.
On the flip side, she loves to go out to eat and probably goes 2-3 times a week. I only go once a week. Works for us.

we are adventurous sailing, zipline, biking, cave tours, some hiking, roller coast amusement park, go-carting, amish auctions stuff like that ... but at the end of the day there has to be clean, warm, shower, dining....hotel awaiting, with a shopping mall within 10 minutes.
No tents, sleeping on the ground, bugs, rain, dirt, digging, fishing/hunting, no nights in the wilderness, mudding..... never going to happen
(ok with a cabin as long as the running water, hot tub and fireplace, appliances and eletric )
Wife loves social dinning events with guest speakers .... hate those things ... lawyers, doctors, investment, dentist, politicians .... to many liberals in one room ..

Oh yeah, we both love baseball and beer. She never really liked baseball but I started taking her to games and explaining the game to her and now she enjoys it. Cincinnati is a great city to live if you love beer, and it's nice that we're both beer drinkers. It can get pricey, but we've always got something to do if we're bored and want to get out of the house.

You're joking, right? You have to be joking, b/c I don't think it sounds like fun when I re-read it, and I don't think I was trying to portray anything fun when I typed it. So... are you joking? I'm sensing a ruse.justincredible;1841461 wrote:That sounds fun.

Well, we can walk to one brewery and several bars. And we've got Uber. And, if we only have a beer or two we can drive without being over the arbitrary limit.ernest_t_bass;1841480 wrote:What's that, drink and drive?

Lol, my post does make him sound boring. We like a lot of the same things and we have fun together basically all the time, but I am not going to force him to spend money on a show he won't enjoy. I spend a lot of time and money on concerts and he has no problem with it, so I am just fine with him not going. He loves to travel, he just isn't a fan of cruises and tropical locales in general. He's been to many countries in Europe and spent several weeks in Colombia, so he prefers stuff like that over the beach.friendfromlowry;1841482 wrote:Lol god damn. He sounds like a stick in the mud.

Pretty much the same thing for me haha. Then if you call her out on it she'll just get upset even more.GOONx19;1841429 wrote:When I say I don't care what we do/watch/eat, I actually don't care.
