Annual thread for the handful of MAC guys we have here.

Akron is reeling of late, and the rest of the conference is mediocre as hell.
Ohio doesn't have Campbell, and can't hold a lead against anyone good.

It's going to be an ugly one this year, I'd say Akron or Buffalo.

I concur. Without Campbell, OU is just one more mediocre team in what's been a very mediocre conference this year, which is too bad, as with Campbell, the team would have to be the favorite to win the tournament with how Akron's fallen off in recent weeks.

Kent could be a dark horse to win, too. They'd have to win every day and they had to play a fast-paced OT game last night, but they were playing as well as anyone in the conference coming into the tournament. And I guess, after looking at the schedule, having a fucking two-day break between the first two rounds helps them. Who the fuck came up with that scheduling system?

"If you aren't in the top 4, you have to play in the first round, but don't worry...we'll make sure you get plenty of rest, so you don't have to worry about playing four games in four days!" Strange.

Tough break for OU losing Campbell; they would have been my favorite. I will still pick them, but I would be concerned with Buffalo along with Akron and maybe one or two others. Not a great group this year, whoever gets hot this weekend.

No upsets yet, but Ohio sure made interesting by going down by as much as 15 before sneaking it out 67-66

At least they made a comeback instead of giving the other team one!

as a season ticket holder at Toledo, this has been there calling card all year long--it's crazy how bad they've been in the last 10 minutes of games!

MAC brass is furiously masturbating because they got what generally gets them the biggest gate - Akron/Kent final
