Since we will hopefully be in the process of moving soon I am looking to expand my collection of crock pot recipes.
Lately we've been doing bbq pork a lot, which is as simple as it gets. Throw in boneless or bone-in country style pork ribs and a bottle of bbq sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours. We make mashed potatoes and carrots to go along with it for dinner. I take the leftovers for lunch, usually as bbq pork sliders.
We've also made the following recipe twice and it's fantastic, just a little messy with the initial chicken prep.

Chicken breasts, a can of rotel, can of black beans, bar of cream cheese, packet of ranch dressing mix. After the chicken is done, shred it and serve with tortillas. We usually put some cheese on top too.

This carnitas recipe is amazing. Food truck style. Pricey the last time I made it though, I paid around $45 for the pork shoulder from some high end butcher.

Smoked sausage(we get the pre-packaged Butterball turkey from the packaged meat area), 2 cans of green beans, couple of potatoes cubed, chicken broth, sprinkle some red pepper flakes. Cook until potatoes are soft.

I make my roasts in the crock pot. Sliced onion on the bottom, seasoned beef roast, carrots and potatoes. I add enough beef broth to go at least halfway up the meat. I typically cook on low for about 6 hours, or until it's falling apart.
This is my favorite pulled pork recipe:

I haven't made it in a slow cooker yet, but that's my next move.

There's not a lot better than coming home and the whole house smelling like the roast that's been going for hours. The last couple months of my wife's pregnancy I made a frozen crock-pot meal about 1x a week and stored up about 10 meals. It was great when my son came and we'd just have those ready to go for dinner. A lot of meatballs, roast, ribs, wings, chicken, stroganoff...it's great when you just need to throw something in.

Chicken Breast, jar of salsa, packet of taco seasoning. Done.
Shred it at the end and use it for tacos, or mix it with quinoa and avocado for a burrito bowl.

Damn dude, Pork Butts (shoulder) are usually only $2 a pound and sometimes only $1.50. Now that is Smithfield's but still.Automatik;1839578 wrote:This carnitas recipe is amazing. Food truck style. Yeah, I fucked up. Next time, back to the supermarket stuff.
They actually cut if off the pig right in front of me though, so that was cool.

We have been doing this chili recipe for a few years. The last few times I modified it and it was so much better. All I added was a pound of ground sausage and a can of pinto beans and it made a huge difference.

My wife and I make her grandma's spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. Couple of cans of tomato sauce, can of water, diced tomatoes, can of tomato paste, couple cloves of garlic, freshly grated parmesan cheese, couple cubes of chicken bullion, ground beef, and a stick of celery. Start it in the morning before we leave for work and when we get home just boil some spaghetti, whip up a salad, and throw some garlic bread in the oven.

When I developed "Zunardo's Famous Chili" about six years ago, I started with 1 lb hamburger, and 1/4 lb sausage. Then I moved to 50-50, and finally one with all sausage. Much, much cheaper, and the flavor is enhanced, IMO.Ironman92;1839734 wrote:We do a 50/50 chili with hamburger/sausage and also one about 2/3 hamburger to 1/3 sausage
