The group Eagles is terrible and it'll never be cool to like them. The group/singer Portishead is way cool, she has an awesome voice.

Dave Matthews Band. I'll never understand the hype.

I was into hair metal and glam rock for a very long time, way past the time when it was considered "good" or "cool".

I'm not super into a lot of classic rock bands that people love. The Doors and Grateful Dead come to mind. I don't dislike them..it's more of a meh feeling.

Fleetwood Mac and Dave Mathews Band. Just didn't see the attraction to these bands.

I don't think I've enjoyed anything that's been considered "top hits/pop" radio since I was a little kid at the mercy of the lame local radio station my parents ALWAYS listened to.

Most of the classic grunge groups (the Nirvana era), I liked when they first came out, but quickly lost interest and can barely stand any more. Nirvana, in particular, comes off as the music version of some weird "outsider art" concept that makes no sense, but some group of hipsters is all like, "No man, that's the shit; you just gotta appreciate the vibe and think outside the box".

Liked the Dead for a while, but lost interest. Only so many times a person can listen to a dude picking his banjo for 15 minutes straight while spaceship noises and shit are whooshing along in the background.

On the "stuff I like" side.

HAIR METAL TIL I DIE BITCHES!!!

NWOBHM. Some of the groups (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Saxon) got reasonably big to super big, but a ton of them went under the radar for most or all their careers, with lot of groups barely doing anything more than one 2-3 song single. YouTube's been a great thing for finding those obscure groups.

OAR was great til they got super popular. 34th and 8th is one of my favorite albums.

Their newer stuff is ok, just not the same.

Newer bro-country I can't stand. I started listening in early 2000's, and it's not like I'm strictly old school country, but the new stuff pretty much sounds the same and about the same stuff. Cut off jeans, tailgates, drinking.

As far as stuff I like that isn't cool...christian rap. Love listening to Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Tripp Lee, KB, Social Club.

The Beatles, like a few songs and appreciate what they have done but dont care for 95% of their catalog.

I'm mainly a rock/hard rock/metal guy but couple bands I like outside that.

The Cure and Dashboard Confessional.

Luke Bryan is the worst. Literally Hitler. I'm in the same boat, I cannot stand bro-country.

Eh, I think it's terribly written and repetitive...but it's catchy stuff for the most part. I don't mind it as long as I don't dissect the lyrics and look for meaningful song writing (which I don't because I know what to expect). One of my twins loves Luke Bryan, so I took him to a concert last summer. It was surprisingly entertaining and I'd do it again.

This is probably the saddest excuse of lyrical art in the history of top hits:
I got that real good feel good stuffUp under the seat of my big black jacked up truck
Rollin' on 35s
Pretty girl by my side

You got that sun tan skirt and boots
Waiting on you to look my way and scoot
Your little hot self over here
Girl hand me another beer, yeah! (oh oh oh-oh)

All them other boys wanna wind you up and take you downtown
But you look like the kind that likes to take it way out
Out where the corn rows grow, row, row my boat
Floatin' down the Flint River, catch us up a little catfish dinner
Gonna sound like a winner, when I lay you down and love you right
Yeah, that's my kind of night!

Might sit down on my diamond plate tailgate
Put in my country rock hip-hop mixtape
Little Conway, a little T-Pain, might just make it rain

You can hang your t-shirt on a limb
Hit that bank and we can ease on in
Soak us up a little moonlight
You know I know what you like, yeah!

Yeah, that's my kind of night! (oh oh oh -oh)

My kind of your kind of its this kind of night
We dance in the dark and your lips land on mine
(Oh)
Gonna get our love on
(Oh)
Time to get our buzz on

All them other boys wanna wind you up and take you downtown
But you look like the kind that likes to take it way out
Out where the corn rows grow, row, row my boat
Floatin' down the Flint River, catch us up a little catfish dinner
Gonna sound like a winner, when I lay you down and love you right

(Oh)
Yeah, that's my kind of night!
(Oh)
Yeah, that's my kind of night!
(Oh)
Yeah, that's my kind of night!
(Oh)
(Oh) Come on

You might need psychological help if you've been reduced to the level you actually see merit in performers like this. Just trying to help, bruh.

If you ignore the ridiculous lyrics and the skin tight jeans...the songs are catchy. That's all I'm saying.
