Ever have that great opportunity to buy that one great, wonderful and perfect item and you didn't do it. After a while you can kick youself in the ass for not taking the opportunity.
I got hundreds of stories like that.... when will I learn my lessons to buy from the gut emotion and not the head of reason.... have taken risk however also...
I was in Cleveland (not a great area of town) I saw this 1958 Thunderbird convertable sitting on this side street. I got out of my car to look. This guy comes out of the house ask what I was doing. Told him I like this car.... ...$800.00 bucks its yours ....
I told him i would think about it and comeback tomorrow ...... I waited a week
The car was gone sold it for $1500.00
At the time that car with a little work, cleaning and maintance would have been worth 8-10,000 ...... Now 40,000-100,000
What didnt you buy?

Only someone deep in the craft beer game will appreciate this. I was just getting into craft beer, and looking for this founders beer called Kentucky Breakfast Stout. At the time, the idea of a Bourbon Barrel Aged beer was new, and this was supposed to be highly rated, but also very difficult to find. When looking for it, I come across a Canadian Breakfast Stout by Founders. Me being the newbie to craft, I thought oh well not Kentucky. Didn't really look at the bottle much, just moved on because it wasn't what I was looking for. Turns out that beer is KBS but aged in Maple barrels as well, is supposed to be amazing and even rare-r than KBS. I've never seen it since.

We will be attending KBS week in GR next Thursday. They have been known to have the maple on draft. I rate it second behind Westy12.Commander of Awesome;1839079 wrote:Only someone deep in the craft beer game will appreciate this. My father and I had a chance to buy a pair of tickets to the 1990 Super Bowl in Florida, face value, which was $125 each at the time, I think.
Only trouble was it was a week away, we would have to drive, and I would have run myself ragged trying to take a couple days off before and after for the travel, arrange a hotel somewhere, etc - in the days before the convenience of the Internet. I passed on it, and my dad agreed.
I kinda regret it, because we'll never have tickets like that offered at face value, let alone face value being that cheap. But I never lost sleep over it.

I was working part time at a gas station because I was laid off from my regular job because the union went on strike. (Engineers aren't in the union-hence laid-off). The owner of the station offered me his 73 Vette really cheap. Being out of work I said no.
