I bit a hole through my tongue while playing tag in gym class in 2nd grade.

Sliced open my leg to the right of my right knee trying to push a box full of junk across the yard when I was in 4th grade. My foot slipped and a tree root sticking out of the ground ripped my leg open. I didn't get stitches and now have a pretty gnarly scar. My career as a leg model was over before it even started.

Broke my wrist playing poker in 10th grade. Teachers wouldn't let us gamble anything, so we gambled punches...I won. Kid turned as I hit and I smoked his shoulder blade. Despite having thumb outside of knuckles, I got a boxer break.

Sled riding down a literally 5 foot hill into the neighboring business' parking lot when I was like 8 or 9. There was a truck right at the bottom of the small hill...

I went under the truck, hit my head on it and knocked myself out for a concussion.

Played football from 8 years old through 12th grade, never even got my bell rung once. Sled ride right into a truck and knocked out cold.

My sister was there, woke me up, we never told my parents...

I have five brothers, and they have done some really dumb shit.

One of them tried to ride a Razor scooter down a grass hill. He fell off and broke his collar bone and then drove himself to the hospital because he was afraid to tell our parents. He was only 16, so they had to call them when he got there, lol.

One of them was watching Wimbledon, jumped off the couch while pretending to swing a tennis racket, hit the ceiling fan/light fixture and cut his hand all to shit. Had to get a bunch of stitches.

One of my brothers cut the other one with a knife and he had to get stitches in his hand. To this day I have no idea what they were even doing.

Three of my brothers thought it was a good idea to jump on the trampoline with a full soda can. It hit my sister and cut her eyebrow open.

One of them hit a bike tire as hard as he could with a baseball bat. It bounced back and hit him in the head.

I lol'd at that one.

Not me, but when I was in high school some kids on the track team found a blank from the starter pistol. They thought it would be a good idea to smash it with a big rock. I got the fuck away because that seemed really stupid. When it went off the shell casing stuck in a bystanders knee and they had to take him to the hospital.

I had hard contacts. I was pitching in kick ball and the kid kicked the ball right into my face. Shattered a contact and I had to go to the Dr and they pulled the pieces out with tweezers. Then I got to wear an eye patch for a while. It was big and white and I doubt I looked as cool as Belly.

...cold as hell and snowing one Thnksgiving and my wife kept saying "don't go" and I went. We got in the field and we're walking through the brushes and a branch snapped back from the guy in front of me and hit me in the eye. It scratched the cornea and I spent Thanksgiving evening at the emergency room

Badly sprained my ankle golfing. I was pretty much alone on the course one evening and playing great (gotta throw that in)....I was walking down a hill on the #5 hole and stepped awkwardly where they were putting in a new cart path. Went down hard, clubs slung everywhere and pretty sure I was out of it for a very short time. Gathered my clubs, limped/hopped up hill while carrying bag, left ball on green and managed to get another 600+ yards back to my car.

Tore my PCL and Meniscus playing intramural flag football SMH. Just running the field and there qas a dip or a pothole in the ground that I didn't see. My left leg the opposite side of the hole and my knee bent back. I gained ~50 lbs, and took me close to a year to recover to where I felt comfortable running again.

I actually laughed out loud at that one. If you had it on video your parents could have easily won AFV.

Splitting wood with a wedgesledge, the log was rotten inside, the wedgesledge when throw so easy that the momentum continued, the wedgesledge hit me in the shine bone, scraping the skin back to the bone you could see the white of the bone and muscle tissue. It didnt bleed very much. I dropped to the ground in such pain, couldnt walk nor could I yell, I was rolled in a ball with pain, it took the breath out of me. I was alone at home lying by the side of the house for 30 minutes before I could even move. I thought for sure I had broken the bone. I got to my feet and limp to the house, wash it off (burning pain) wrapped it up. My shine bone area turn black /blue, tender to touch for weeks, wife demanded I go to the hospital............... I didn't go.

I can relate to most everything mentioned so far:

- tried to chop my finger off with a hatchet while splitting kindling - still took a good chunk out of it. Stayed to finish splitting that piece of wood before I headed to the fire station

- While running in high school, tripped on a crack in the sidewalk, hyper-extended the knee badly. No surgery, but it swelled up like the dickens. Crutches for 6 weeks.

- My son broke his big toe horsing around with his buddies at the end of their freshman year - I think they were carrying each other on their shoulders and playing basketball.

If anyone remembers pro bowler Don Johnson, I went to his summer camp many years ago - he told us about one of the strangest guys on the PBA tour. How strange was he? He was playing cards one evening, looked up after a few hours, and said, "I think I just sprained my ankle" - and he was right.

While exiting a bulldozer I slipped on the muddy track and saved myself from falling...by grabbing the exhaust stack.

screamed, let go and biffed anyway.

Burned hand and cut head(6 stitches). Double stupid.

This act of double stupidity also broke company streak of 493 safe work days. Seven days before we were to be awarded with a catered meal & jackets.

Co workers were PISSED! Bad day on the job.

sliced my thigh wide open when i was 10 running in between two vehicles, caught my leg on one of the license plates. It was super nasty. When I was 12 i was stepping on the pitchers mound and stepped off the rubber wrong and broke my foot in 2 places. My dad didn't believe me that it was broke and didn't take me to the hospital for 3 days!!!

Brother kicked me in the collarbone when we were little. Right around the time Karate Kid was out. We had a carpeted wall(behind a dart board for my dad) in our basement and we would run and do kicks on it. Somehow he didn't see me walking in front of him and boom!

Several years later, he broke it again. This time we were basically playing smear the ***** in the backyard. He tackled me into the ground and I knew it immediately. Break ended up being exactly 1 inch away from the previous break.

I was skiing when a kid barely hit me in the leg tearing my acl.

Stepped off a ladder and tore my meniscus after the helper set the drill at the bottom of the ladder. Same leg as the acl, about a year after I had the acl fixed.

Was drilling a 2 9/16 hole in a top plate of a wall and it hit a knot in the 2x4 stopping the hole hawg drill I was using and it swung around and knocked me out cold.

Was holding a facia board up while another guy nailed it with an air nail gun. The nail went through the board an embedded itself in my arm. I pulled the nail out and the guy with the nail gun fainted and fell to the ground.

Watched a guy carry a sheet of plywood up a ladder, in the wind, to the roof. The wind grabbed the plywood and away the guy and the wood went. When they landed the wood hit his leg breaking it. Probably one of the worst accident I have every witnessed. Bone was sticking out of the leg and the screams were scary. Thought the guy was going to die.

That's nuts, trying to think of a smarter way to bring a piece of plywood up, not a lot of options for a typical house.

Stayed overnight at a friend's house when I was in elementary school. There was this shelf over the bed, while I was sleeping I rolled over and bumped the wall causing the shelf to swing like a hinge unloading the contents on my head. Worst thing there was one of those trophy they used to pass out to kid's with a very heavy base. Clocked me right on the head and gave me a concussion.

During practice when I was in little league I was playing 2nd with a runner on 1st. Ball was grounded to the 3rd baseman who was being played by one of our adult coaches. I went to cover second, turned to look at the runner, turned back to look for the throw, and the ball was about an inch from my nose. Knocked me straight to the ground it broke my nose bled quite a bit. Next day my friends told me I looked like the elephant man.

During basketball practice when I was a jr in high school I was knocked to the floor by one of my teammates and his knee landed on my calf with his full body weight. It hurt at first but then it eased up and was just sore. It was Friday night and we did not have a game so I went with my girlfriend who went to a neighboring school's basketball game. It progressed to the point I was limping pretty bad eventually hardly able to walk. I ended up going to the emergency room were I was told the blow injured veins in my calf that caused blood to seap into the muscle causing pain and stiffness.

At the age of 41, I tore my achilles tendon playing basketball in the YMCA 40 and over league.

End of athletic career because the doctor told me it could easily happen to my other leg. Wasn't going to go through that again.

When it happened, I thought that someone had thrown a baseball into my calf.

btw.....some great stories on here that make me cringe.
