Anyone following this? Hopefully this doesn't become a horrible disaster, but the videos are just breathtaking.

Been following, only a couple of hours away from the situation. Thankfully no one I know is projected to be affected.

Not trying to be insensitive her, but doesn't California need rain? I mean, this is not good, and terrible for people there. But the rain is a good thing for the state as a whole, right?

Hasn't Brown been Governor for over 5 years now lol?
Also I saw reports that everything is stabilized now, which is good.

It was more how out of touch I was, I remember moonbeam's first term and him running for president several times.like_that;1837100 wrote:Hasn't Brown been Governor for over 5 years now lol?

I think I recall someone from the old Huddle who was from Oroville, but I don't remember who. Hope they're alright.

First time in years they are no longer in "drought" conditions. But they still have water shortages. Northern California is much wetter, and supplies water to the south which is more or less desert converted into farming.ernest_t_bass;1837096 wrote:Not trying to be insensitive her, but doesn't California need rain? Lot of criticism the last few years that they did not build enough holding reservoirs to supply water to the state. These reservoirs are designed mainly to collect water from run-off and melting snows in the mountains basically to provide for irrigating the desert.

Sounds like they're supposed to get another 4+ inches of rain starting tonight.
