Looks like we'll hear back on josh Gordon in may. He applied for reinstatement earlier this month and the league said they'll have a decision by may.

By now, with all the time he's missed, does Gordon still have any noticeable football skills? Like, I'd expect him to have the raw athleticism (or at least regain it after a hard period of working out), but the things like route running and the instincts and stuff like that. With being out of the league for as long has he has, that stuff would have had to erode significantly, wouldn't it?

He looked pretty solid in preseason games last year....at least on deep balls. At this point, I'd think that if he ever gets reinstated they might just release him. If you'd see some of the stuff this guy posts on Twitter, he's still an immature clown.

Not that I think Gordon's in their long term plans but this is typical Roger Goodell, waiting until AFTER the draft to make this decision.

True, but I'm not sure it has that much impact. If the Browns need a receiver, I don't, at this point, adjust my plans at all based on whether Josh Gordon might be available.

Why? We lack WRs and Playmakers.

I've heard for years "the browns just might release Gordon!"

FFS, he's not being released. He's either going to get it together with the browns or continue to be a fuckup not playing in the NFL.

Exactly, it's a no lose situation at this point. It would be dumb to just straight up release him.

JT is speaking from experience after dealing with Manziel. Not worth the headache for a guy who sucks ass. If you bring headaches, you better be good, because that is the only way a team will put up with you. There is a reason why Greg Hardy was still signed to a contract.

Anyway, I am not suggesting this for the Browns, but I am surprised it has been quiet for Jay Cutler's free agency. I figured we would at least hear some rumors on where he will end up.

Albright says everyone is waiting for the Romo domino to fall, once that happens guys like Cutler, Kap, and Fitzpatrick will be signed.

Thoughts?
I don't like McCarron anyway, but that is a lot to give up for him. In terms of draft chart points, that would basically put the value of mid-second round pick on McCarron depending upon whose chart value is used.

There's no way I'd value AJ as #1 in rd 2 pick. The only thing I like would be the moving up part. Hooker please.

I know he's pretty much the consensus #1 overall pick, and I'd still take him there, but is anyone else not totally sold on Myles Garrett?

Nope, are you implying you aren't sold?

Look, I know the dude's an athletic freak and he may have just been taking this past season off to try to stay healthy for the draft, but his 2016 stats don't jump out at me. 4.5 of his 8.5 sacks were against UT San Antonio. Granted, he did have a very good sophomore year. I just don't think he's the "sure thing/lock" that the consensus seems to think. Just hoping he's not another Courtney Brown.

I'm not saying don't take him at #1, but I have my concerns.

There's concerns with every player in the draft. You don't draft lock's with the first overall pick, you draft the guy with the least amount of chance to bust. That's garrett.

Seemed like everyone thought Andrew Luck was a "lock" and he's regressed to the mean with injuries and fantasy football drafting by those clowns in the Colts front office. I mean he's good but he's not the superstar everyone thought he'd be. He started off fast and has tapered off.

I agree that Garrett is probably the least likely to bust though.

Luck actually had a decent year. If he had an O-line worth a damn, he'd be a top 3 NFL QB.

Sold on Garrett at #1. No to McCarron at that asking price and no to McCarron in any case.
