So apparently Dallas could have tried a free kick FG from the spot of that fair catch. No rush from the defense.

73ish yards. Kick offs go through the uprights fairly often...why not try?

...because on the free kick rule the defense can return the ball if it doesn't reach the back of the end zone. I think Dallas just wanted to get into the locker room at that point.
