He said "right now". I said it at the time that it didn't mean anything. He's a top 12-15 pick. He's not coming back.

Just say "not thinking about it until after the season". Why say anything except that unless your mind is made up, then say that

Why take what 20 year old kid says seriously? And why get offended if he changes his mind?

Oh I'm not offended...I honestly can't recall a college player saying I'm 100 percent back publicly and then one month later changing his mind

When I was 20 I had just chosen a major and was an average McDonalds crew member.

Rumors floating around that Beck is going to Texas as Herman's OC. Also in this report it's said that Beck was stripped of head OC in '15 and Warriner was head OC this year.
Fire Beck, fire Strudwa, Warriner back down to OL coach, hire someone who is good.

Nothing concrete yet, but I've heard that Kevin Wilson may be hired as the new OC and Ryan Day will be the new QB coach. Wilson obviously just left IU and Ryan Day has recently been working under Chip Kelly with the Eagles and 49ers. I think Meyer did make a push for Chip Kelly, but that probably was never realistic.

Sounds like Beck is out (likely to Texas) and Warriner may be going somewhere also. I honestly would prefer Warriner as the OL coach over Studrawa, but hard to tell what will happen.

By the way, I have no link since it's all rumor at this point, so no one freak out if what I posted doesn't turn out to be 100% true.

Been reading a lot of the same rumors. I have to agree with keeping Warriner as the OL coach. He done a great job when that was all he done. I hate seeing Beck go for the only reason he was good at recruiting. I would like to see something done with Zach Smith. He either dont have the talent at receiver or he dont know how to coach the talent. Will be interesting to see what happens the next few weeks.

Edit: I hate to see Beck go because of recruiting. I am not sure if he should be coaching qbs or what but he does not need to be calling plays.

Recruiting maybe, but no to coaching QB's--did you not notice how much JT has regressed under his tutelage? jmo

I thought he helped with qbs with Tom Herman. Now that I look at it he did not. He was brought in 2015. I am with you on this. Not sure where he would fit in at this point.

I'd also fire the WR coach.

Beck is no loss here. Warriner needs to move from OC to OL coach and we need to bring in a full time OC.

The Crimson Quarry, which is the SB Nation site for IU, is reporting that Kevin Wilson will in fact be named OC for OSU.

wow--with his firing and the reason behind it being so fresh, I'm very surprised...but hey, what do I know

Kevin Wilson is the hot name right now. But he got fired by the school that fired Bobby Knight for basically being Knight-light. I'm not sure how Ohio State's brass would feel hiring a guy accused of forcing players to play through injuries, etc....
...to me, the idiot, those picks seem stale. Sure, Wilson did some things in Bloomington. But I refuse to believe a failed Indiana coach is the best Ohio State can lure to coach a roster with blue chip third-stringers.

I like that we got a former head coach and offensive guy as our OC, but I'm not sure Wilson is the best "human being" in the world lol. I know there were a lot of former players of his that came out in defense of him, so who knows.

Either way, I'm just glad Beck is done.

JT announces he's coming back. (not sure where he'd go?) Anyways, will/should this be an open QB battle? There's been a ton of hype around Haskins recently from media and the players. And Burrow has looked good when given mop up duty. I think there should be personally. JT hasn't shown me a whole lot the last 2 seasons that says he should be handed the job. Most of the time, they're winning in spite of him it seems. Not getting a lot of help from OL,WR,and playcalling. But, when given the chance...feel like he misses a lot of open guys, and underthrows a TON.
