1. Bama
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Washington (beat Colorado)
5. Michigan
6. Wisconsin/PSU winner
7. Ok/Ok St winner
8. USC

Would watch.

If Colorado wins out them at 7 and move UM, Wisconsin up a spot and USC would be out.

Wouldn't be anyone who could really bitch as they would have 3 losses except for Washington who would have zero top 25 road wins and just 1 top 25 win (Stanford)...WVU can't bitch, WMU sorry.

First round is at the higher seeds' stadium. A college football playoff game at a school's home field would be amazing.

That would be 4 big time games or those 4 schools.

Will never happen and am very against it. It's against the tradition of the bowls and would have to be played on Xmas Eve.

8 is too many

You could easily shorten the regular season by one game and then everything else would be the same.

Every other level of college football has a playoff with more than 8 teams. It can be done, and it would be awesome.

Yeah, you'd have to shorten the season one game and the smaller schools that get big paydays by getting shellacked by the powerhouses early in Sept. wouldn't like it at all.....unless the money from the first round of the playoffs were split among all the schools.

As a football fan, for sure I'd like to see a 6 or an 8 team playoff, but if any of you remember my rants against the NCAA in the past, and it's abuse of student athletes for big $$$$, then you'll understand when I say that student athletes have to be given time to study and take their finals, or that some form of reimbursement needs to be made to compensate those who won't have pro careers.

I'm not trying to be difficult here, but amateur athletics has become a sham. We should stop pretending, and compensate the players, or live with inconvienences of it actually being amateur competition.

I like the way it is now with four teams...let it be.

The only reason it isn't 8 games is because the big bowl games would lose their status or would have to move the game up a week. As cool as it would be, they will never allow campus venues to host these quarterfinals. It would be way too much money out of the pocket of those who sponsor the sport.

Personally, this would make sense.

Second to last Friday/Saturday in December - 4 of the big six bowls host quarterfinal games
Last Saturday in December - the 2 remaining big six bowls host semifinal games
Second Monday in January - national title game, rotating between the six sites every 6 years
