So, redistricting in place now how are people feeling about the new leagues? And how do you see it shaking up? Who you see winning in each OCC league. Do you see new rivals forming and what rivals will be missed. Ready,... GO!

Lancaster has a great chance at winning the OCC Ohio. They will be able to put a full solid lineup on the mat. Headliners for Lancaster are Autumn Gordon at 106, Joey Hutsler at 126, A.J. McCritchie at 160, Stephen Deluse at 170, Spencer Smith at 195/220 and Vince Albertini at heavyweight.

Pickerington Central lost several of their big hitters from last season due to graduation. Their headliners are Noah Dotson at 132, Chance Esmont at 160, Shota Sisco at 170, and transfer Shiloh Jenkins from Walnut Ridge at 182/195, who has improved a lot throughout the offseason.

It will be a great dual meet between these 2 teams, but expect Lancaster to edge Pick. Central and win the OCC Ohio with Pick. Central finishing a close 2nd.

Lancaster has one of the best 106 lb freshman in the state in Logan Aigin. He may wrestle 113 for the duals, but i'd imagine he will be at 106 when it matters most as thats where he was at super 32.

Whoever wins the Coffman / Marsville dual. Tough call IMHO. They each have 5-6 really good/great kids. The balance of the line-ups will be the difference.

Whoever fills 10 weight classes wins.

That being said, GMad is my favorite, followed by Big Walnut.

I agree with the 10 weight classes. It really will come down to who can fill a full team on that night. Groveport might be the favor with the returners they had from last year.

You may be surprised, I think some of the teams in that division are filling out the rosters now. I'm going to throw out Newark as a contender, Coach Martinez has got some good wrestlers and has them heading in the right direction.

Hope I'm wrong and you're right. I was just going by recent history. It would be awesome if things started heading in the opposite direction.

And glad things are looking better in Ne'rk. I've long thought they had a good wrestling demo out there and should be a solid squad.

You're right going by history, plus I'm going strictly by what's on trackwrestling and majority of the schools in the division have the numbers to fill 10 or more.

The other side of that, though, is even though I may have 15 wrestlers will those 15 be spread out enough to fill the weight classes needed to be competitive? Another issue is eligibility and the quitters that disappear after Christmas, having what was once a decent roster now turns into a patchwork job.

I think this division will be much more competitive for these teams than their previous ones.

I agree. These schools have a better chances to compete with one another. Except for Big Walnut/Franklin Heights/New Albany which all finished in a 3 way tie last year.

I'm hopeful that Big Nut can get things turned around. Their coach is very active and involved and seems to be trying to do all of the right things. The are the smallest school in the OCC (by quite a bit) so that could hurt, but the coach seems to be doing the right things. I'm hoping for good things out there.

Again, I agree with you. He's def got some studs on that team Munday and Foster. These guys will be at Darby for sure.

Left coaching, had a kid, got fat, still follow it. You guys keep me going during the season. Might drag the soon to be 4 year old to a meet here soon. He has a lot of energy that could be vented on one of those "wrestling mat" things in the next few years.
