I remember when the Reds traded Kearns. I never thought he'd be a superstar or anything, but I was sure he'd be a quality complementary player. He completely seemed to lose it at the plate in Washington, though and seemed to struggle just to hit .200.

Isn't Washington a hitter's park also?

I like the pickups....nothing wrong with taking a flyer on either of these guys. Hard to believe Kearns takes a minor league deal. Duncan is a pretty good pick to replace Jamie Carrol as utility guy. Don't get me wrong...I'm not really excited about these guys...but this might be as good as it gets as the Tribe rummages through the leftovers.

Kearns for comeback player of the year.....we can only hope...

Good luck to Kearns. Hopefully he can find his stride back in Ohio.

Same crap every year...sign guys that use to be ball players, sign them at very low salary, and hope they caught lightning in a bottle. When was the last time they signed a big name offseason player? And no Kerry Wood doesn't count, he was another broken down player that used to be good that they got at discount.

Good pickups IMO. I believe Kearns had a pretty bad thumb injury that he was battling deflating his BA, and I think with the AB's Duncan could possibly be a bottom of the order run producer.

I actually kind of like the Kearns move.

I hate Shelley Duncan though. He reminds me of the hunchback from 300.

That is Adam Dunn's fault.

Sigh. What the fuck ever. This is going to be the least excited I've been for an Indians season I can ever remember. There is just no doubt in my mind they are going to be beyond terrible.

What exactly does our rotation look like? Do we even have a #1 starter, or a bunch of #5 and AAA guys?
