He has been coaching in the NBA since 2002 and has been an associate head coach for the last 5 years. His name was thrown around for numerous HC gigs in the NBA and it didn't work out. There are coaches in the NBA (Steve Kerr, Jason Kidd, etc) who were given jobs without ANY coaching experience and you think it's odd that a guy with 15 years of NBA coaching experience was given a college HC job? It's not like Ewing has sat on his ass and they handed him the job solely because of his name. I'm sure his name and connection to Georgetown played a role, but let's not act like they hired a guy who doesn't know a thing about coaching.Azubuike24;1845583 wrote:Not an assistant.
