I'm watching tv, because I can't believe what just happened, and they make a decent point. We talked about how the Republican party needed to remake itself after Trump lost. Does the democratic party need to remake itself now? Or just distance itself from the Clintons?

And I am hopeful Trump can do something with a Republican house and Senate. I'm thankful we won't be getting the liberal judges Hillary was going to appoint. But I hope Trump backs off the more decisive stuff he said while campaigning.

If the DNC did not shaft Bernie he likely would be the president elect.

I cannot believe we just elected a racist, sexist, xenophobic bigot in 2016. He brings not one thing to the table, globally or nationally. I had two separate friends message me from Spain and Poland asking if their news is playing a prank.

We don't know what the future bring or what tomorrow world will present to our government. What we are sure of is what the people of America wanted. America whats government change, political agenda to change and Washington to be aware that we the people still have a voice. It is now up to President Trump to fulfill the voters demands. The message is clear and the list is long ...... My President.

what this election campaign has done showed the American people the real problem and where it at ... From this day forward American politics and politician and the party system will be altered.

I think the answer is both. In terms of the GOP, it's still as divided as ever, but they were able to rally around one point (Fuck Hillary) and vote in line. Maybe this is what they needed to begin to rally everyone together? They'd be dumb as hell to blow the next 2 (at least) years still fighting with themselves.

And yes, Dems have to get as far away from the Clintons as possible. There's no huge divide like the GOP,

Does the result of this election mean that pollsters are irredeemably biased?

More importantly, are polls now rendered irrelevant?

Says more about the state of the Democratic Party. If your candidate is too big a POS to win this election, you need massive change.

Uh huh. And I suppose it says nothing about the Repuiblican party who he ran away with. Face it... It speaks volumes on America. America overwhelmingly voted for him. America alligns theirselves with this thinking. You lying to yourself saying it's a democrat problem is idiotic. It's a WE problem.

The only thing it speaks to is that people have long had enough of the same old shit. They had the opportunity to vote for something different and took it. That said opportunity was a batshit crazy con man was of no particular consequence.

What it says is the American people are just tired of it all. We are tired of politicians that only give a fuck about themselves. I also just want to say I told you PA was definitely in play, I saw it with my own eyes the past 7-8 months. Hopefully trump can actually bring real change to this country, it's something we so desperately need

lol ... thats the ony thing it speaks to? You're too smart to be that dumb so you're being intellectually dishonest. It speaks to the fact we have underlying issues of sexism and xenophobia. Fuck off with that "its all about people want change" bullshit. That's lazy. It's more nuanced than that and I think you know better.

One redeeming point is Hillary got more votes than Trump.. add in Gary Johnsons supporters and at least there's more people don't buy into his bullshit than there is who do.
