Some idiot tried to pick that high deep fly to left off by throwing a can of beer at it. Must have come close to hitting it according to the reaction of the LF. I wonder what the call would have been had he hit it, or worse yet just ticked the ball and put out the LF's eye. I hope they can identify the culprit and eject him and ban him for life.

Would be tough to give up a run in the 8th in a win or go home and Britton unused in the pen.

Need to save your closer on the road to pitch the bottom of the inning when you take the lead. Each team has used 5 pitchers, and have 5 left. How many innings will the Jays pitch their closer? Buck made the right decision again to walk Edwin E. to set up the DP and pitch to Joey Bats.

I disagree. Britton is the best pitcher, he should be used in the biggest moment and can go 2 innings.

You gotta get to the closing chance first...that can't be done if the game is over. Game might go on for a while....going to guys in the bottom portion of your pen over Britton because it's not a save situation?

I agree with this. No reason to not use Britton

Use enough pitchers and eventually one won't have it!

Britton faced 254 batters this year and allowed 1 HR. Pitched 67 innings and gave up 4 ER

ERA+ 826
FIP 1.94

There is no argument for using 6 pitchers AFTER the starter was removed and 1 of them wasn't the best relief pitcher in baseball.

That is why batting last is such a big advantage. Home field is more valuable in Baseball than any other sport because it is a stategical advantage in addition the the fan support advantage and the ballpark familiarity advantage.

There is an argument, maybe not the best argument here, but I thought you trusted Buck! I thought Buck was one batter late getting Tillman out, and should have had Britton in for that last batter.

I don't believe another manager in baseball gets this Orioles team to the playoffs....but in the last 2 innings of this game he could've used me to help him not overthink things lol.

yup, wow...Buck screwed up last night, plain and simple--but it's always easy to look at the results and say that--it has to be tough to make a decision that backfires, especially on a big stage like that.
