Gotta take 3 of 4. The tigers are playing the twins.

Are we still worried about the Tigers and Royals? Goodness. I'm more interest in the top AL spot, which we are tied for in the L column.

Danny Salazar out for 3-4 weeks due t mold elbow strain. I hope the extended time out is just precautionary for the playoffs.

I don't believe in jinxes or curses. The Tribe have a damn good team. It's the best in the Central which is why they are about to win it.vball10set;1810648 wrote:haha...famous last words...it's still Cleveland

Pretty much this. Playoffs are a crapshoot. Home field in baseball is not as big as home field/court/ice in other sports.Ironman92;1810668 wrote:I would take health over home field

The tribe have been pretty dominate at home. It would just be pretty nice to have the luxury but yes I agree health is a million times more important than home field

It's kind of a big deal to have the last at bat, though.like_that;1810675 wrote:Home field in baseball is not as big as home field/court/ice in other sports.

When you're losing you always have the last at bat. When you're winning you never do.
I get your point though. It's possible to win with the final at bat of the game without having your opponent get another shot when you're at home.
I'd still rather be at full strength or healthy if I had such a choice over having home field.

Gotta get their starting pitching ready. Two healthy very good starters are a must...a 3rd is typically needed for the long run. Even Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling had a good Miguel Bautistalike_that;1810675 wrote:Pretty much this. Playoffs are a crapshoot. There are at least three people that post on the Indians threads that regularly misuse the word dominate. Something cannot be dominate. It is a verb.
Dominant. Is an adjective. Go Tribe.

We are winning the division, folks. Just start getting used to it.
Say the words out loud. We are winning the division. It feels good to say it. Enjoy it. We are too good for an epic collapse.

To write down what needs to happen: 3 out of 7 vs Detroit and 7 out of the remaining 12 would guarantee playoffs. I imagine 2 out of 7 vs Detroit (if Tigers go 8-4 in their 12) and 5 out of 12 and they limp in. Pitching needs to get healthy.

??? I don't understand this math at all. If we go 3-4 vs Detroit...they make up 1 game. We go 7-5 in the remaining 12 and they go 8-4 they make up another and we win the division by 4 games.Sonofanump;1810783 wrote:To write down what needs to happen: 3 out of 7 vs Detroit and 7 out of the remaining 12 would guarantee playoffs.
