I'd like to see Bolt win gold in the 100M. He's never lost a world final except for the one he got DQ'd. (2011?). Would be awesome if he could retire with that record. Hoping Phelps can win a medal but he's probably too far past his prime at this point. I don't know anything about the rest of the athletes, with the exception of the basketball team.

Phelps will win something gold.

Bolt could be taken down in the 100...I hope not. Man is he electric to watch.

Phelps might still be the favorite in each of his individual events. LeClos will be a big challenger in the 100 and 200 Fly, and could get the best of him, but I'd be really shocked if Phelps doesn't didn't win Gold or Silver in the 100 Fly, 200 Fly, and 200IM (plus he'll swim in some relays, I'd think).

I wonder if Phelps and Bolt would both compete in 2020, if they were still one of the top four fastest. imo - In 2020 maybe they are no longer the best and win Gold as individuals but could still be part of a medal winning relay team.

Phelps maybe as swimmers can seemingly stay on top longer

While I know nothing about international swimming, I think Phelps is less likely to dominate than Bolt is. Bolt is unreal and often wins while showboating. But I know he hurt his hamstring this past summer so maybe that slows him down.

Wish I wasn't working tonight. Would have been nice to watch tomorrow instead of sleeping. America plays Croatia in water polo first thing in the morning, which is interesting to watch.

He was ridiculous.

Is there any particular order for the entrance? I always thought it was alphabetical order and at times it seemed to follow that but then there were countries out of place, too.

[h=3]Gisele Bundchen strutting her stuff at the Olympic opening ceremonies was stupid. Since when is being a model an Olympic event?[/h]

It was alphabetized in Portuguese. That's how they lined up and entered.

Greece always goes first, then alphabetical according to host country language and his country always last

The bike race got intense at times today. Going downhill in the mountains at 50-55mph where if you crash you likely end up hitting the concrete border along the road.

Can't get into the bikes. The Italy beach volleyball match was cool, dude was hitting 50 foot "sky" serves. Soccer and other volleyball is interesting enough.

USA up big on China at half. China has 4 guys over 7'0 but those guys can't do anything away from the basket.

Klay Thompson has been awful hitting front of rim on 3's, crappy defense, fouls, messing up a 2 on 1 break. Carmelo is there to score points. Everyone has scored except Kyrie but he is having a blast. Durant is the scorer.

Anyone see the French gymnast snap his leg in half? Still wasn't as gruesome as Paul George or Kevin Ware.

Another guy snapped his leg on the floor routine and then went on and did the pommel horse routine for his team! Those damn gymnasts are mentally tough as fuck.
