In the last 40 years what player who has been the league MVP has the most career RBI WITHOUT ever scoring 100+ runs in a season?

Atta boy!
Morneau just got a hit for the Chi Sox today. A forgotten MVP
What about the last 50 years?
All-time?

Haha I'm guessing if a player was around > 40 years ago and never scored 100 runs I probably haven't heard of them (non-Cleveland, non-pitcher).

If it had been a player pre-1985 I don't think I could have got it.

Steve Garvey 1974 MVP 1308 career RBI...played in over 1,000 consecutive games.
All-time Brooks Robinson MVP once and had 1357 career RBI but never scored 100. Played forever, not great on offense but maybe best defensive 3rd baseman ever.
Morneau 960 career RBI
