Commander of Awesome;1802735 wrote:GSW stil pretty deep. Replacing Barnes for KD, huge upgrade. Ezili and Barnes were trash in the playoffs, still have Livingston, McAdo, Speights, Rush. Plenty of depth and vets form the past 2 runs.

Also, regarding Klay Thompson, he doesn't need the ball to be effective which is what makes him so unique. I dont see him being an odd man out at all. They can be creative with minutes now with 3 legit scorers,
Barnes for Durant is huge.

Lost Bogut, Ezeli, Barbasoa, Rush, AV. Added West and Zaza. That's a net terrible. West is straight dog shit and Zaza is basically a poor man's AV.

They look like the closest thing we've seen in sports to the late 90s Yankees who absolutely took it to baseball. Barring injuries no other team matches up
There's 0% chance they all average 20 ppg. Do you even watch basketball?

I think Speights is gone too. They basically had to clear their entire roster to make it work.

Please tell me you don't mean each of the 4 stars average 20 but rather that Curry, Durant, Klay and Draymond combined may average 80 ppg.

Curry 25
Durant 24
Klay 17
Draymond 14

He's a free agent, but sounds like Golden State is trying to bring him back.

Also, Windhorst reported today the salary cap isn't projected to grow next season like they anticipated. Right now it looks to be 5 million less. He specifically called out GSW and the trouble they may have with it with Durant, Curry, and Iguodala all free agents next year.

No doubt. But he played defense on Lebron as well as anyone can. He wouldn't be missed as much as the other two, but it'll hurt if they lose him.

As long as the team isn't a complete flop, I think Durant will be back for his second year there. These things typically require more than a year to get going. Curry, though, I wonder if he wouldn't consider leaving.

Losing iggy is as big as losing anyone on that team.

He was the only one that could D up Lebron.

And they don't have Bird Rights on Durant.

They don't so they will either sign Durant first or he will opt in and then sign Curry, Iguodala and perhaps Livingston. They have Bird Rights on those three so they can go over the cap to keep them. They currently only have Green and Klay Thompson with guaranteed deals for next season. Load the team up with ring chasers to round out the bench just like they are this coming season.

Thompson will likely be the biggest drop off in production and I can't see the Warriors having a starting 5 of Curry, Klay, Durant, Green, and Zaza? West is trash, Zaza is trash, Iggy is 1 year older;
Zaza isn't that bad and just like with Bogut he may only get 20 minutes a game.

Like I posted 4 pages ago...

'15-'16 season...
Zaza - 8.6 and 9.4 in 26.4 MPG
Tristan - 7.8 and 9.0 in 27.7 MPG

There is a reason why Zach Lowe said:

"I have gotten almost as many angry texts/etc from team execs about GSW getting Zaza for nothing as I did re:GSW signing KD."

You keep looking at TT's box score stats as a reflection of how good he is. TT is 1000000x the player Zaza is despite having similar stats.

TT is the epitome of "his value is outside the box score" yet you keep comparing him to other players using that lol

Yes lol that is what I mean. Also though if some of you noticed throughout the year when Klay was hot Steph would step back and let him rack it up. Curry is a true PG who can score lights out, with Durant I can see him absolutely stepping back and racking up the assists. Remember this is a team who really believes in that Strength in Numbers motto, they are all about sharing the basketball

His assist numbers dropped last year to score 30 ppg. I expect his numbers to be around 24-26 ppg and 7.5 assists.

I'm guessing Draymond is the team leader in assists next season. He could have the chance to average a triple double for the season IMO. I'll guess him at 13.5/9.5/8

Glad he just went out. I expected that sort of announcement, but was worried he might announce and do another year, your type thing. Don't hate when players do that, but it didn't seem like Duncan's style.
