What are some good books or online articles you have read in regards to managing/motivating people? I am about to change fields for a new job, I will still be managing sales people but in a different industry.

Always looking for ways to get better at work and it has been awhile since Ive done some research for new/different techniques. Just wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations.

Any of the Scott Adams books. They contain such motivational wisdom as "Work harder or you might get fired". :)

If you are into football, which I assume you are since you're on a sports forum, I would read books by coaches like Holtz or Tressel. Managing a football team and sales team involve the exact same concepts and the books are a lot more interesting to read.

Reading psychology books are the best I think because you cover the roots of why people are motivated by certain things, but they are usually pretty dull and boring.

How about using the GE method... the bottom ten % are fired every year. Don't suck.
