So I have 2 Apple IDs. One from when I first got an iPod back when I was like 10 and one that I created more recently. Don't ask why I created a 2nd one, I'm not sure.
Anyway, so I know I can't merge the 2 accounts, which is dumb as hell; but I want the music/files from one account to get to the 2nd account. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Apple and got zero help.
My dumb question is, and they told the answer was no...if I have music that is purchased through iTunes and saved on my laptop, can't I just put it on a flash drive and then transfer it back into the iTunes library of the account I want to use?

Put music from first account onto iPod...plug device into iTunes and load into newer account. Just like you would with a CD.

Are the files from the first account on another computer? If yes, loading the actual files to a USB/external HD and dragging to you iTunes Media Folder should work.
Don't you need specific software for that?slingshot4ever;1798188 wrote:Put music from first account onto iPod...plug device into iTunes and load into newer account. Just like you would with a CD.

I only have 1 computer. I've taken the files from an old computer to my new one by putting them on an external HD though.Automatik;1798189 wrote:Are the files from the first account on another computer? Also, the guy at Apple basically told me to figure out which account I want to use and just not use the other one. Which is fine, but I don't want to lose the stuff I have on the other account.
I'm pretty sure if I have the "actual" file of a song, I can put it anywhere.

Correct. It should be simple, just put everything in the same media folder and set it up in the iTunes preferences.wildcats20;1798211 wrote:Also, the guy at Apple basically told me to figure out which account I want to use and just not use the other one.
