I was interested in seeing what everyone else would rank their top 5 of the 00's.

1. The Strokes - Is This It
2. Reel Big Fish - Monkeys for Nothin' and the Chimps for Free
3. Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP
4. Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies
5. System of a Down - Toxicity

Country Grammar has to be a close 6th. I don't know a single person who didn't listen to that cd.

I don't listen to much new music so this will be easier:

1. Shooter Jennings - Put the O Back in Country
2. The Black Keys - Rubber Factory
3. The Black Keys - Magic Potion
4. Leroy Powell - Leroy Powell
5. Shooter Jennings - The Wolf

2) The Gourds - Shinebox
3) The White Stripes - Elephant
4) Social Distortion - Sex, Love and Rock n Roll
5) Blink - Take off your pants and jacket (Yeah I know cheesy, but I've ran many miles listening to this on the Ipod)

I forgot all about American Idiot that was a great one also.

A lot of people list The White Stripes but I can't get into them. I've liked a couple of their songs.

Boysetsfire-After The Eulogy
At The Drive In- Relationship of Command
Thursday-Full Collapse
Flogging Molly-Drunken Lullabies. Can't Believe Three People have picked this already, My Song at my funeral will be "If I ever leave this world alive." My Three Year old son gets so pumped up when I play Flogging Molly, its funny to watch.
Foo Fighters-Either One by One or In your Honor, Tough Choice for me at Number 5

I really wanted to put a Thrice Album in my top five. For some reason I just never got into Vheissu although Image of the Invisible is sweet. I guess I prefer Early Thrice(Identity Crisis, Illussion of safety and Artist in the ambulance) over the newer stuff, still probably one of my top five bands of the decade.

I can't believe I forgot Relationship of Command. What an influential album as far as the current alternative music scene is concerned. It is too bad that they broke up. Although I like both The Mars Volta and Sparta, neither are as good in my opinion as At The Drive-In.

if this had been a top 10 list I'd prob put both ringworms "birth is pain" and "justice...". Ringworm was gonna be my 5th but realized that Reach the sky's album was from this decade
