I have an S5 and I'm thinking about getting a new phone. The S7 seems like a logical choice. Are there any other phones I should be looking at?

My sister just got the S7 Edge, after her iPhone took a dip.
She really likes it. It's water resistant so hopefully it lasts longer than usual for here...which is usually around 6 months or less.

My wife can not keep the door on the charging port for her S5 and she has dropped it in the tub multiple times. Don't ask me why you would take a no longer waterproof phone into the tub.Automatik;1795252 wrote:My sister just got the S7 Edge, after her iPhone took a dip.

Pretty much all the flagships are pretty good. Personally I'd go Sammy or Moto, but HTC and others are pretty good.
At the same time, not aware of anything special or "wow" on the horizon....phones are all the same to me, at this point.

I got the S7 the day it came out. Love it. Camera and battery life is great.

I fiddled with the S7 Edge the other day in the VZW store. I'm pretty much an Apple fanboy, but that's one damn sweet device.

Does anyone think the edge screen is a little vulnerable? How can a case protect that?

I have no issues at all with mine. I just haven't found a way that it really has any use.FatHobbit;1795313 wrote:Does anyone think the edge screen is a little vulnerable? How can a case protect that?

My recommendation would be to wait a bit.
