The Reds need to get me season tickets. Reds are now 6-0 when I'm at the game.

That loss sucked. Love how Schebler looks now, Smith looked good and something has clicked with Suarez on defense because he went from abysmal to very very good.

Looking for a 6th straight series win and it looks good facing Leake and I'll be in attendance with my 5 consecutive game attending winning streak. It looks promising but feel both our streaks will be over.
It'll be 7 after the weekend. Pirates have been scuffling since the break and with their moves before the deadline, I don't know that all their heads are in the game.

And, yes, that is me trying my hardest to give you one of your own patented jinx-style treatments. It's not like anything else has worked this year. Other than ignoring them. Last night, they outscored Atlanta 4-0 when I wasn't paying attention and they got outscored 8-0 or so when I was. Fuck that.

If they need Iglesias tomorrow night and lose due to one of the other bullpen pitchers giving it up...loss falls on Price for moronically pitching Iglesias 2 innings in a 7-0 game

Hi.

Needed Iglesias in the 9th, used Ohlendorf and first batter hits a walk off HR

Brandon Phillips, seriously one of my most hated athletes. Guy is a joke. Vetoes trades, waits until August 2nd to start hitting, after the deadline. Seriously GTFO of Cincy!

He started hitting once he was dropped from 3rd/4th to 6th. No one gets their feelings hurt quicker than he does. He pouted after the thrilling opening day win last year (batted 7th and pouted even after Frazier's HR and everyone celebrating after game)....but now he's hitting and he's all smiles with everyone.

Hell now they are picking random stats and comparing him to Morgan, Alomar, Sandberg and Biggio....but funny because the 2 stats they showed he was still way behind all of them.

One year he was on the Red's caravan and came to a small stop in Celina that was open for only advertisers at a station that carried the reds locally. He acted like an ass to the guys but hit on any female with a heartbeat including this one 17 year old server! Guess he was looking for another child support payment in the area..who knows!

Most disgusting loss of the season. Price should be fired, Ohlendorf released and Cingrani relegated to pitching in the 6th or 7th

2 outs in 9th leading 4-0 and lose.

I hate how they are handling Iglesias but hate it even more Price is doing close to same with Lorenzen. Quit pitching both of them in blowouts and stupid situations....should've had Lorenzen available tonight.

The real shame is for Cody Reed, he deserved the win there.

At least he has the feeling of having pitched well in a tougher atmosphere.

Yeah, that is one of those game where as a player you are mad the team lost (and you lost the W) but inside you are feeling really good because you played very well. Let s hope he can build on it. The kid has the stuff to be very good.

Joey Votto is 62 for his last 121, with 35 walks and 22 strikeouts.

But no, he didn't win NL player of the month for July haha. What a joke.

Today Reed did to the team something similar to what Cingrani did to the team when Reed was the pitcher of record.

If he can get to the plate in the 9th, the Reds have a chance today to bail out Reed.

Impressive. I wonder what is the record amount of at-bats a player has gone with a .500+ avg.

July 26th to August 17th of 1957, Ted Williams went 37 for 70 with 20 walks and 4 strikeouts. That 1957 season is one of the best of all-time from an OPS perspective as he posted a 1.257 OPS with a .526 OBP, 119 walks and only 43 strikeouts.

Puts the Votto stretch in a little perspective though.

What he's doing at the plate has rarely been seen. Incredible what he's doing.

His defense had been bad and he is seriously the worst base runner I can think of. Ortiz and Howard are slower but he seems to lose focus so often. Right now to me....he peak level Peyton Manning except that Manning turns the wrong way 3x a game on handoffs.

Harper hasn't been great but you cannot overlook OB% and that makes it a significant difference.

Brutal roady for the redlegs.

Admit I didn't pay much attention. Will they just wilt and limp to the finish after going pretty well since the ASB?

Straily in top half of ERA for all MLB starters with enough qualifying innings. 26th in innings pitched, 26th in WHIP, more strikeouts than Greinke, Wainright and Samardzija.

Dan Straily has been a good #3-#4 type pitcher. He's gotta be in the rotation next year until he proves he isn't worthy. Solid year.
