The Indians are in the Motor City for a weekend series against the Kitties.

The Tribe took the opener last nite 2-1 beating Justin Verlander with solo HRs by Santana and Byrd.
Josh Tomlin was superb in getting the win...with flawless relief provider by Zach Mac and Cody Allen.

Kluber goes against Sanchez this afternoon trying for his first win.

Tribe pounding the Tigers in the 4th, 8-0.... As everyone in the lineup has at least one hit, including a blast by Gomes.
Kluber has allowed one hit thru three innings.

Kluber goes 8 strong innings, giving up only two hits in 100 pitches. His lone mistake was a Saltalamaccia HR after the game was out of reach.

I'm so used to seeing the tribe get swept by Detroit regardless of circumstance that this weekend has been confusing. Glad that it no longer happens like that when the Tigers come up on the schedule (even if it's because the Tigers became exceptionally shitty while the Indians stick to their mediocre guns)

Good series for the good guys. Always nice to beat Detroit. Hopefully Cookie is only on the shelf for a couple of weeks but it wasn't pretty.
