Great day yesterday, got the yard cleaned up, wash car and truck and hauled trash to the warehouse dumpster. Wife suggested getting bluebird house and feeder ...Ok sound good and cheap.
So what do we come home with a new Dyson animal-hypo allergenic vacuum clearer.
how does this happen ?
We already have a small one upstairs 3 years old and a 15 year old big one downstairs.. Works good. It does need about 200.00 worth of parts and labor.. Not sure of the motor life however after 15 years.

Im there but not there, I'm listening but not hearing and the next thing I know the wife is ringing up a new Dyson. ... Good news she forgot about the bluebird house and feeder... Until today.
tThe new Dyson really does do a much better job than to old one... So I really can't be that upset.

Guys and Gals ever find yourself in this situation where your (other) buys something and you wonder what the hell just happen ????? Better yet bring it home as a great idea to sell you on it...

In moderately related news I had one of those terrible sweeper salesmen come in and sweep the living room and dining room and he offered me this amazing sweeper for $2169......worked him down to $500 and then asked him to leave.

This was not that the salesman was that great .. The wife some way got it in her head it's a good time to buy a new Dyson. The minute we passed the vacuum at hartville hardware she was interested, sold and ready to buy..plus they where on sale and had a special... Hook ,line and sinker...

Wife got a Dodge Charger as a rental while her Ford Windstar was getting recall work done. A week later, a new Charger was in the Windstar's spot in the garage.

This scenario usually works in reverse with my wife and I. She is usually the one that doesn't want to spend the money, but I end up talking her into it.

This happens ALL the time. If I go to the grocery store and buy groceries for the week by myself, it's usually well under $100. If I take my girlfriend, it's never under $150 and she tells me "You don't know how to grocery shop!"

If you want to save money, go solo.

My husband is the one that does that in our family. We're spending 1,000's on a living room redo and now I'm getting a 65" tv for my birthday. No clue how he switched that one on me.

Letting a maid use a vacuum that was in dozen's of other peoples homes is disgusting. You're paying your maid to spread other peoples nasty shit all over your place. Buy a vacuum.
