Not sure how many of you guys have been fishing the last week but I have been slaying some nice crappie and blue gill. Mostly at a quarry and Kiser Lake. I did go to Indian Lake and caught some saugeye. Took the last week off of work and had a blast fishing.

What quarry mcburg93?
My boys and I have much better luck at Kiser than we do at Indian Lake. The pan fish and bass at Kiser usually hit pretty good. Hoping they got their algae problems cleaned up for this coming spring!

Did not go to Kiser last year at all due to the algae problem. Are they doing anything for it? I'd like to get there early this year if it warms up soon.
We can always catch fish at Kiser-but they are usually too small.
Might try Eastwood Lake this year just because it's close to my grandson and he wants to go fishing this year.

2 weeks ago i was out on a private lake south of houston and the 3 of us on our boat caught 75 Largemouth (granted only about 15 were caught by me) by 9:30.

Right outside of Urbana north of the airport are a few ponds/lakes that the city of Urbana opened up to the public. They have been producing some real good fishing. Your boys would love to go there. Never had a bad day but I usually only go early mornings. Evenings get packed in the summer.SnotBubbles;1783086 wrote:What quarry mcburg93?

Last I heard about Kiser Lake it was all clear. I know it has no warnings up around the lake at all. Ran into quite a few people and everyone was doing pretty good.
