Depressing fucking news. Seemed like a legit good guy and was a great player who had the potential to be a legit HoF guy.

Terrible news. He seemed to have a passion for life and the game. I can't help but think back to when Indians pitcher Steve Olin was killed in a boating accident in spring training.

Read last night that pretty much the whole team knew he was going out on that boat after the game, and a few players were invited and they all turned him down and some even have gone so far as to tell him that he should just stay home.

That has to hurt even worse, if that is possible.+

There's nothing I "love" more than watching my already-eliminated team doing their best to keep the fucking shitbirds alive in the race.

REDS SIGNEE - The Cincinnati Reds has purchased the contract of 16 year old 3B/C VICTOR RUIZ from the Mexican League Academy. The 6'2" 195 righty slugger was rated as the top player in the Academy and projects as a solid future MLB player. Yes, Ruiz is a few years away but this is a part of building a strong farm system.

Did anyone ever actually think a late night boating accident into the rocks wasn't alcohol related?
