I'm asking this in a random thread just because I had curiosity and don't usually post about wrestling, but how are the seedings done for wrestling state duels I've never heard how the do that process

Per the OHSAA website, they actually use the word "pairings" the State portion of the competition and it says pairings are handled as follows:

"The state draw will be conducted by the Commissioner’s Office prior to the state tournament by the OHSAA State Wrestling Dual Team Tournament Seeding Committee."

Sounds like the Committee votes. others can correct me if I am wrong. At the regional level it is a combination of objective criteria (state qualifers, team dual record, etc.) and Coach vote. At least that is what the regulations say.

Dust_E, I believe South was just resting a lot of their guys. Trying to avoid injury, perhaps.
