Due to state duals we have had a team drop out and are looking to add a team to make 16. Teams right now are Bishop Ready, Bloom Carrol, Canal Winchester, Circleville, Dublin Coffman, Franklin Hts, Grandview, Johnstown, Liberty Union, Logan Elm, Newark, Philo, Reynoldsburg, St. Charles, Thomas Worthington. Cpntact Steve Montgomery at [email protected].

Is that this weekend (2/06) or next weekend (2/13)?

They are according to the school website.

Just curious...why would a team drop out already, when the last round of the state duals isn't until Sunday, Feb 14th? After tonight results, I could see it...

We extended contracts to Lancaster, Delaware, and Dayton Christian al of whom did not accept the contract. Now Lancaster has entered to make 16 on Sat Feb 13. Now Coffman has made it to finals so I don't know if they will be sending any wrestlers or not. So we probably still need 1 team.

Is there a finalized list of teams? Anyone able to breakdown competition? Possible match ups or weight classes?

ishop Ready, Bloom Carrol, Canal Winchester, Circleville, Dublin Coffman, Franklin Hts, Grandview, Johnstown, Liberty Union, Logan Elm, Newark, Philo, Reynoldsburg, St. Charles, Thomas Worthington, Lancaster. This looks to be competitive with Lancaster as the clear favorite. Coffman has said due to State duals they will not be sending all of their top wrestlers. Other teams that look to be in the running for top 2 are Thomas Worthington, Philo, Circleville and the host cards.

Bishop Ready: Studs at 126/132 (Brooks) & 170 (Siemer). What else they bring is good.

Bloom Carroll: Simlar to Read in that what they do bring will be quality. Gibson (I think 138) & 220 (Howard) are tough. They have another one but his name and weight escape me.

Canal Winchester: I like their 285 (Wolfe). Along with their 182 (Williams).

Circleville: they have a good thing going down in Round-town. The obvious headliner will be IRONMAN champion Keaton (106/113).

Dublin Coffman: not sure what they are sending.

Franklin Heights: they have an ok 160 pounder. I forget his name at the moment but he should do well.

Johnstown: another limited-line-up team but they do have Bullard (145). He's pretty good. ;)

The next few teams I'm oblivious to: LU, LE, and Philo.

Newark has a nice one-two punch with Pham and Thornsberry. The 170 isn't bad either. At 285, if like to see the result between this kid and Canal if it happens.

Reynoldsburg: the Raiders were a bit banged up when we wrestled them. Still tough at 132, 138, and 285. As a a matter of fact, their 285 could spoil the N/CW match-up.

St. Charles: tough at 113. Returning DQ at 126 w/Noonan. I'm impressed with 152 Geiser, along with 182-King.

Thomas Worthington: another dynamic duo with Johnson & Norris at 120 & 126. The obvious stud of AJ Jones at 195.

Lancaster: if they survive their Thursday night dual with Groveport, they'll bring it. From 106 to 285, they are good. I'll do what I can to soften them up for the field.
