I'm going to also concede these WR's from the same era are HOF worthy.

Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Hines Ward, Brandon Marshall. All are pretty much locks and some still playing.

If you consider Calvin, then consider these names...Anquan Boldin, Torry Holt, Wes Welker, Roddy White, Keyshawn Johnson, Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell.

At some point, way too many WR's are getting in...

Really similar numbers...of course Calvin had the outrageous 2012 season...but pretty much they are the exact same player except for that.

Calvin - 135 games, 731 catches, 11619 yards, 83 TD, high of 122 catches, 1964 yards and 16 TD (yards and catches came in the same year), 6 Pro Bowls, 3-time consensus NFL All-Pro
Chad - 166 games, 766 catches, 11059 yards, 67 TD, high of 97 catches, 1432 yards and 10 TD (all came in different seasons), 6 Pro Bowls, 2-time consensus NFL All-Pro
Lol you would bring up the comparison to a Bengals player.

I can be a homer, but I thought it was a decent comparison. The numbers are similar. And Ochocinco is NOT a HOF'er...

That's a good comparison. I think Calvin is a much better player and if he continued to play he'd be a shoe-in for the HOF. But as of now, I don't think he sniffs it because the numbers aren't that impressive for a career.

Calvin could get a bit of the Barry Sanders/Sandy Koufax treatment where they take his dominance in a limited era of time and put him in because of that. He was clearly a top 3 WR almost his whole career.

Sanders was top 2 or 3 in rushing when retired....he was a no doubter. Same with Koufax. Their types are rare. Johnson falls a little short of them.

It was a good comparison just giving you shit because Chad happens to be a Bengal.

Who else but Azu? You could be talking about hockey and he would somehow relate it to Andy Dalton's shitty contract or bring up some NBA player who played for UK.

Wouldnt Lions still own his rights? You can't retire and then come back with a new team. I can't imagine they don't own his rights for the remainder of contract/franchising him if he ever did come back.

I believe Johnson has somewhere around a $24M cap hit next year. He could basically force the Lions to cut him because of the bad contract on their end.

Yea, I think for 4 years. I don't think it's about getting away from the Lions for him anyway.

I'd take Calvin Johnson over everyone except Randy Moss.

Without looking at career numbers I'd guess he and Marshall are tight on career numbers and years played and stuff won.

Brandon Marshall has more catches and yards by a wide margin. He has been an elite WR every year except his first. Surely a HOF'er.

In a one play or need a TD scenario, sure. The HOF doesn't rank you on talent or skill. Stats matter. He doesn't really have them. It's definitely a debate.

T.O. Would be my obvious choice guess.

Tony Gonzalez and Steve Smith would be answers to my type of trivia
