Two years in a row the comets get hosed. The majority of our wrestlers had byes in round 1; wadsworth had very few. We were down more than 20 to the champs day 1 and lose by 13. Also my boy got robbed in the semis! Had to say it...this is my last year I can whine about officials lol!

I heard no Lakso, Mattox, Wimer or Teacher against OLib or Coffman. Point issue?

I won't speak for the staff but I'm going to say I doubt it. Why pick this dual (these duals) to sit out when there will be four more chances to have them sit. And most likely against lesser opponents (no offense to anyone on that point). Probably sick, skin, or injured. Odd that it'd be all four but the cookie does crumble.

in the end: not my rodeo; not my horses.

Pretty sure it was points and as I hear a great coach once said you just gotta suck it up!

Nice win for Collins! Have to believe the sitting out of certain guys was due to points or another valid reason.

I'm glad I didn't go to this instead of watching Darby as I actually pondered it.
Didnt make either because of work.

It was an interesting decision. I totally understand the situation with the points and get that there were was likely a couple of match ups that coaches would rather see later rather than sooner. That said, it was disappointing that they pulled all those kids. CCHS certainly has several duals where they can save the points and still compete. This did not happen in Moe/Elder or Brecksville/Wadsworth last night. They obviously did not think they can beat Coffman or Liberty in a dual and decided to bite the point bullet now. I am in no way criticizing the decision and I know the CCHS coaches are doing what they believe is best for their team. There was just a lot of interest and a full gym at Westland hoping for something else. The kids that did go out there certainly deserve credit for their effort so no way want to diminish them in any way.

WOW Kam stuck veller in 1:50 in the finals at the mbc. I thought that would be a good test for Kam but wow is all I can say. Veller is not some walk over run of the mill heavyweight and I did not think Kam would come out and stick him in the first period. Kam is on a real tear and Coach R. has him in peak condition right now. I just hope when he gets to states he gets the chance to face vough. I have wanted to see those two face off since early last season.

I hope so. I think from here on out until he reaches states he will not be tested again other than the hwt from U.A I do not see anyone who can even hang with him. I do not think any top 285lb guys will be at the comet classic. Does anyone have a list of the teams that will be at the D.Hayes tournament?
