So I am cleared by my Dr to start working out again after my Whipple Surgery. I want to set up a home gym in my basement.

Any advice/recommendations. I already have cardio machines. I'm curious what set ups some of you have. I worked out a lot during high school and college but over last 10 years not so much so I am not a novice so I would like decent equipment. Just not sure if i should buy separate pieces or buy "total gym" type pieces.

P.S. Going to a gym is not an option

I have a commercial grade gym in my garage. Most of the equipment is Body Solid.

I've sold off some of my equipment (leg press, seated calf machine, etc) but I have a Smith Machine w/lat pull/low row with a selectorized weight stack that goes to 220 lbs but more weight can be added. Also have a power rack with pullup station, pec dec machine, seated leg extension/curl, tricep dip machine, plate loaded seated row machine with chest pad, various bars & benches, over 1000 lbs of free weights and PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells that go up to 130 lbs.

Running in a sauna would be annoying as shit.
