Had they not won a couple of nail biters against Miami, Jax & Seattle in 2011, they would've been right in it for Luck. I even looked back at the dreaded 2009 "Season of Mangini" when they started 1-11 before winning the last 4 games and even if they would've went 1-15 the overall #1 pick was Sam Bradford. Can't seem to have that perfect storm.

Sounds like pettine might not start Johnny now because of the pictures that came out this weekend. If so what a fucking joke. He wasn't doing drugs didn't kill anybody. This is getting stupid. The kid is fucking 22 years old. If Mike doesn't start Johnny he can go fuck himself.

Petty Pettine is trying to hold him accountable. I bet part of the reason Gordon ain't playing is bc he was enabled. Same with the Hardy situation.

If Johnny was indeed shitfaced this PAST weekend, when he knew the starting job was his for the rest of the year, I wouldn't even want him on the team. He's an idiot, regardless of whether he's 22 or 52. I'd rather start Thad Lewis.

Nice hot take. I really DGAF if he has a problem or not, I just want him to produce. If he got shitfaced one night during the bye week but spent the rest of his time off in the film room, fine by me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the Browns.

I'm just saying...this is the guy leading the team? The season is lost for the team. It might be lost for the staff. But Johnny is one of the few Browns with an important season left. It speaks volumes, doesn't it?

My girlfriend and her friends saw Dalton gambling at the horse shoe last year, in season. Should Dalton be thrown off the team for having a gambling problem?

Pettine's probably pissed because going into the bye, Manziel told Pettine "I won't do anything to embarrass you (or the team)." Not sure if this constitutes "embarrassment" but the dude can't go ONE weekend without partying or getting some dumbass video up on social media? I don't GAF that he parties but Jesus he's fucking dumb as a box of rocks.

If that's the case, Manziel can join him because my nephew is always playing poker (or blackjack) opposite of JFF & Haden in the high dollar room at the Horseshoe in Cleveland. I saw Manziel in the high dollar room last year after the Ravens away game.

Here's my point: drinking on your bye week isn't a bad thing. Being an alcoholic isn't a bad thing. Go out and produce and I couldn't care less what you do outside of the football field.

I mean yes, going clubbing isn't exactly how one should be spending their time after they leave rehab, and he knows he's in the public eye so it's going to be everywhere., which makes JFF a fucking moron. If they're that disappointed with him just cut his ass, otherwise get over it and start him because it makes the most sense given who is on the roster. This isn't surprising, everyone knew Pettine would go back to McCown at the first hint of an opportunity

The nickname "Petty" Pettine is starting to catch on as this smacks of a dad grounding his son. Won't be able to use that much longer as this albatross should be gone in a little over 6 weeks.

He's a kid that has a substance abuse problem which cost him time away from his profession while his employer publicly supported him through it only to then go and display his willingness to continue to seek opportunities to become inebriated. The Cleveland Browns don't owe him anything.

The video I saw just showed him dancing and singing...I didn't see any evidence that he was drunk or drinking. Did anyone see a video that shows differently. I'm just asking ... Was the vid I saw edited or incomplete?

I'd imagine if Dalton had a debilitating gambling problem, it'd have come to light by now.

No one here disagrees with your point. But the powers to be within the Cleveland Browns don't want their "face of the franchise" player repeatedly in the spotlight drinking, especially given his problem past.

If nothing else, he should just be fucking smarter about it. He has to realize by now people want to make a story of him, so he if he's out partying and sees someone blatantly recording him, he should keep cool. Instead he seems to find the person recording and go sing and dance for them while holding bottles of alcohol.

If Gronk had a known substance abuse problem, there would be an issue. That's the difference you're glossing over.

This is my biggest problem with it. Dude is as polarizing as it gets. He could keep a lower profile but it's like he revels in this shit. Don't care what he does to blow off steam. Just keep it off TMZ and all of that shit.
